There's a reason he's never won an Oscar. I have yet to see him in anything where he wasn't over the top with his acting. That can be effective when he's playing a "bad guy", but not when he's playing the good.

So happy to see Ed Norton back in the limelight. I remember when he dated Salma Hayek and thought they would be together forever. Always had a crush on him and still do. He’s that serious, brooding, intelligent kind of persona who you just want to talk to and get to know. Completely underrated actor, a tremendous talent, and, from all accounts, a stand-up guy. Wish there were more like him.

Anyone else find the way he expresses himself in words to be fascinating? A very intelligent man for sure. This is not a genre I'd normally like and the story itself seems tired, but the acting looks phenomenal.

I have such respect for this actor ! He certainly deserves the Oscar and it’s long overdue !

He is totally not underrated. Everybody knows he is one of the greatest actors alive. The problem with him as an actor is that he gets much too involved into parts of the production were actors have no say. Thinks he knows better than the writer, director and producer combined. That is why he is not being cast anymore, because he is not a team player and doesn't know his place.

If you mean the numbers of Oscars by "underrated," in Norton's case zero, yes I agree he is very much underrated. It's bad enough he's been robbed twice for "Primal Fear" and "American History X." Adding insult to injury, he was robbed those two Oscars by Cuba Gooding Jr. and Robert Benigni! Where are those undeserving winners now?

I've read countless reviews of and musings on Radiohead, but I've never heard a more apt description of their music. I had no idea that Norton was such a wordsmith.
