If Kim truly loved Edward, why didn't she just tell them the truth? That Edward was not responsible for the break in and that Jim used him for his plan. She basically threw Edward under the bus to protect herself and her boyfriend which made the entire town turn against him

Please the town were taking the piss out of him from the begining. If you thought the town actually liked him then you are deluded. They were using him for their own gain. Look at Joyce she wanted to have sex with him and then said to the town that he tried to seduce her because he refused and ran away. Kim did love him she was the only one that cared for him along with the cop everyone else were a bunch of wanks and she told her boyfriend to tell the truth and Edward could have said no but he did it anyway because she asked him. She told everyone he was dead to save his life

The whole town hated him they never liked him at the beginning it was just that there was something new and shiny that they wanted to play with first of all Kim’s boyfriend threatened her after the break in not to tell anyone and Edward only did it because he loved her. At the end kim said he was dead because she loved him too and wanted him to be safe from anyone else who wanted to kill him. That’s also why she told him to run when they heard cop cars

I agree with what your saying Jolly Roger but also I agree with the rest of you. Kim should’ve told the truth about the burglary and Edward too also the town didn’t deserve him from the start they treated him like an idiot and afterwards they treated him like a criminal.

@Grant Mcroberts yes it is true that the town was using him from the beginning but it wasn’t until after the burglary that it started getting out of hand. Kim could have spoke up and given Edward justice but she chose to let Jim make him the fall guy.

I used to watch this movie allll the time when i was little but our DVD player broke so I haven’t watched it in years. I found this movie on yt yesterday and re-watched it today and omg I completely forgot that he wasn’t 100% human, imean i know his hands aren’t human hands what im saying is I forgot he wasn’t just a person without hands, he is like a mixture of human and like pieces of things? Metal and stuff idk hes like a cyborg person idk but you get the point. Basically he doesn’t age, we see that at the end of the movie. I realized that just as the movie was ending and omg that realization left me in PIECES i watched this hours ago yet every time i think about it i cry a little. Hes just up there on the castle on his own😭😭😭forever with no one else, away from the people that cared for him like the family that bought him in their house and the person he loves which is Kim.. he has to be isolated from everyone forever 😭😭😭im- im devastated and in pieces I didn’t think this movie would make me so sad after rewatching it
