@@altamashshaikh4182 Last year I was In New Zealand near mt cook where I learned about Edmund Hilary & Tenzing Norgay for the first time. There they have an entire dome theater in honor of Sir Hilary and they had documentaries. Im sure they are somewhere on KZread as well. but they did have a quote from Tenzing saying "I wish I had never climbed it" there was a lot of tragic stuff related to a son as well

May 29, 1953 was Tenzing's 39th Birthday... Take a look at the cream dial wristwatches they wore, both Smiths & Rolex sponsored the 1953 British Mt Everest expedition !

They climbed up Everest without all the modern gear we have today and without ladders and already set in place harnesses. Truly a superhuman feat

Tenzin Norgay was such a pure soul... such innocence in his voice

RIP and long live Tenzing Norgay (May 29, 1914 - May 9, 1986), aged 71 And RIP and long live Sir Edmund Hillary (July 20, 1919 - January 11, 2008), aged 88 You both will always be remembered as legends.

Tenzing said that he was always ok and happy.

I just visited The great Tenzing norgay grave in Darjeeling. I saw his boots, jackets and everything he used to climb the everst. It was a magical moment for me. He is a legend and a real hero. Rip the great climber, you will be remebered forever.

When pressed for an answer in private NEITHER man would say who stood on top first. They wished to share the experience entirely.

And the solo expeditions have been banned from this year as there was a lot of missing case without the Sherpas.. They aren't mountain guides they are your guardian angels in the mountains looking after you..

How is he "unsung?" There's a large statue of him alone at Everest. He is known all over the world just as much as Hilary. He's a legend in his own nation.

I find it strange that people perpetuate this. I think in 1953 India and Nepal were no longer British protectorates and Tenzing was not a British subject. Though it's possible for foreigners to obtain British knighthood, the rules are different. Why would he seek approval from former rulers anyway? He was treated like a king back home.

They used oxygen, didn't they?

I have doubts on whether Hilliary ever go to the top of Everest, after he slated some climbers who left a woman to die in the death zone. Any real climber in the death zone can't help anyone, or you end up dead yourself. But for someone like Hillary to berate them for not helping her, raises an eyebrow. If he really did climb Everest, he would know you can't help people at all, so why is he slating these people for leaving her? I doubt that he ever made it himself, because he would know it's impossible to help anyone who has fallen on Everest. I cannot find a real image of Hillary actually stood on the summit.

There is no photographic evidence that Hillary reached the summit of Everest as Tenzing had no experience with a camera .

*****​​ yes , I think so . But you think he had to work oxygen equipment so that he can take photos ! Obviously, because he didn't need to take pictures as he needed as to work those oxygen equipment . But I don't believe that the regular camera at that time was easy to use , that why I think he didn't know how to use it .
