I've lived in Edmonton for nearly a decade now and learned so much I didn't know about our great city thanks to this video!
southwest is the best district in edmomton. perhaps it is the most expensive area but it is worth it because it is newer, cleaner and people are more educated thus less crimes i have to say. good job on your video.

@@lifeinedmonton-briangarsid1579 people are not willing to live or invest in downtown or near chinatown because of the homeless and crime rate. they have homess shelters in downtown and this is why the downtown is dangerous and no business is willing to move to downtown. new businesses are only going to southwest or windermere to open their pilot store to test the market. i wish they have LRT and subway metro already. but edmonton is very slow.
Thank you for this very detailed and important video. Looking forward to live in Edmonton

Hi! Thanks for the information! What's your opinion about areas like Britannia Youngstown, Canora and High Park in terms of security/safety/crime?
wow! That was helpful! Would you be able to do the same with Calgary in the future? 😁😁

The new LRT line is its third, not second. The second line is the one heading up to NAIT.
Hey thanks for the great input!! You seem to bypass the Cromdale neighborhood.. What are your thoughts here? I see new developments and the stadium is here. Thanks

Looking to move from Ontario. Target 2023 summer. Looking for a townhouse. Probably will sell or rent our home here in ON.
A lot of people moving from BC/ON don’t always realize how big and spread out Edmonton is. Anything outside of the henday is very far from anything unique/cultural, and is just suburban cookie cutter shopping and homes. Definitely stay inside the henday, and ideally inside the original ring road (170st, whitemud, 75st, yellowhead) if you want strong growth in home values and access to what makes Edmonton awesome. As someone who grew up in the SW, it’s overrated. Many areas are seeing increased crime and the traffic is the worst in the whole city. Car dependent as can be and just strip malls and chain stores everywhere. South central and west central are the areas seeing the most re-investment for infrastructure and they’re the most resilient as our city changes to be more of a modern metro. LRT access and main streets are also a big thing to consider as the SW has none of either, but both west central and south central do.
How about 116 ave NW & 38 st NW - 36 st NW ??? thoughts thanks
The style of logically providing information is amazing.

Hi, thanks for your video. It's helpful and informative. I am going to move to Hamptons, do you think Hamptons is a good community? any comment on this area? it's good for family with kids? any elementary school recommend for us?

Thanks for the kind words and sorry I missed this comment! The Hamptons is one of my favourite communities in Edmonton and great for families. I’m not allowed to steer towards any schools but generally they are very good in those areas 🙂
I patiently watched this in its entirety and there was no mention of Calder.
What about McCauley Edmonton??.
Thank you

There can be some higher crime areas in the south but they are generally much more safe than other areas you might see on the North side of Edmonton!
which are the good and safe community at the north that you told about it?
@lifeinedmonton-briangarsid1579

One of my favourites on the North side is definitely the lake district! It's a collection of communities on the North side of Edmonton with low crime, lots of great homes, and access to amenities

Great area! Very family friendly and lots of good amenities. Can be a little difficult to get in to as there are only a few entrances to the community but that’s nit-picking on my end 🙂 EPCOR is the way to go for water! They’ll be able to hook you up easily. Let me know if you have any other questions 🙂

Guys which place has best transport connectivity because i wont be buying a car anytime soon.
I like areas not to far from West Edmonton Mall, restaurants and shopping, great for someone likes to bike, buses, walk, cabs. Condo or penthouse. Around 25 years old to 35 years old. Not 34 to 45. Areas you would recommend based on info i provided? Thanks for great 👍 video.

I have lived in west edmonton for over 20 years and I love it but its not what I would call walkable. If you want walkable and nightlife and other young people you should consider Oliver near Jasper ave. West Edmonton is better for those that want a suburb life with their kids and family. Lots of older people/retirement communities because of the proximity to the Misercordia hospital as well.

@@wiseman4160 move to Oliver. Take my advice if you value nightlife and living next to other youngish peiple. The Valley Line LRT west is currently being built and it will link downtown through Oliver and ends at West Edmonton Mall. So you can easily hop on the train to visit the mall or anywhere else with an LRT stop.

Are there some jobs for a non Canadian ? In Edmonton

There are certainly jobs in Edmonton! I do recommend getting a work visa to work here in Canada
I live in Tamarack by the ets transit center, it's the best transit center if you take the ETS. frequent busses but low homeless population, don't move anywhere near the LRT system though our woke city council refuses to do anything about the homeless and crime.

As someone who has grow up and lived in Edmonton for the majority of my 37 years i can tell anyone wanting to move to Alberta to steer clear of Edmonton, its the worst city in Alberta, if you’re looking for something big move to Calgary, if you’re looking for something thats a city but not as big as Edmonton or Calgary move to, Red Deer or Lethbridge, with the exception of the southwest of the city, and our river valley if you can overlook the homeless encampments hidden in the tree’s, Edmonton is sad, it’s dirty, our roads are horrible, are infrastructure is sad, or transit system is a joke, and our city council determine to make Edmonton worse than it already is is made up of some of the most useless humans in North America, our terrible mayor leading them of course, don’t believe me? Come on down 😂

Complacent humans bore me! Sir you should have kept that negative long story to yourself. Some people come from really bad places out there in the world and a place like Edmonton suits them perfectly fine. The fact that you have been there since birth is a YOU problem. You are not a tree, so move!!!. Your experience will not be like everyone. The tranquility of YEG is jus what some people need. Go and Look up a place called Johannesburg. You will sit down and be grateful. My word some Canadians are SO ungrateful.
