    Your advice is always gold! For blur, if you have Premier Pro you can use their gaussian blur to create a blurry background. Mask yourself out, invert your selection so the background is chosen instead of your image, blur it however you like and select the option to track the mask, voila! Doesn't work perfectly but it's a whole lot better than going without!

    Gotta love how ppl hit the thumbs down 👎 - makes absolutely no sense to me. Ed has put a lot of time and effort into his videos and in my opinion they are incredible. How you can hit the thumbs down 👎 after all the work put into this makes no sense to me. That’s it!! .. thanks Ed I personally appreciate how much work you put in to all your videos. Thanks for all the tips. I have applied some of these tips and I hope my content will be more entertaining in time. Keep up the great work buddy!!

    I’ve been binge watching your channel for the past week and really appreciate your content. I’m in a super-small niche, which is actually fine because my subscribers are loyal and over 100 channel members make-up the difference. What I’m wondering it how you would recommend lighting an education channel, where I move around quite a bit from tool to tool. Should I add more lighting or drag my current kit around as I work? Thanks and I’m heading to your video list to see if there is anything already there to mine. Scott

    Loving your content Ed. Since implementing some of your advice my views have shot up. I’m certain it’s not just coincidence. I’m having issues with my brand new iMac not being able to keep up with the Fillmora software. It’s the basic processor but with 32gb of ram. Am I right in thinking I really needed at least the middle range processor?

  • @FilmBooth

    @FilmBooth

    No way! Something is wrong there, I have a few iMacs, but my 8 year old iMac is still capable of editing big projects. Does Filmora give you the ability to save your library to an external hard drive? Ideally you want your video files on one external drive (never internal) and then another hard drive for your library and then I have a third for the cache. If I don't do this, even my brand new powerful iMac struggles with simple edits

    @@FilmBooth Ah right that’s super helpful! I had no idea. Sorry to follow up with another question, but what kind of hard drive should I go for? I really wouldn’t have a clue! Or maybe that’ll make a good topic for a future video of yours. I waste so much time waiting for the iMac to stop the spinning wheel of death so I can continue editing!!

    That was really useful, I'm currently using adobe rush. And am wondering should I be thinking about premier pro. Though it looks very complicated! Your last bit at the end with making square videos for social. I hadn't considered that at all. I'm thinking about chopping up my most successful KZread videos into 3 to 4-minute videos for Facebook, would these be better square than landscape?

  • @FilmBooth

    @FilmBooth

    3 жыл бұрын

    Awesome, glad you liked it. So I'd 100% make your videos square for Facebook or put them in a frame and then title the frames. Ive got a little side business that sells frames if you want some pre made that stick out www.theunderdogcollective.com/square-video-frames/ I'd also recommend checking out Davinci Resolve, its free, very powerful and you can make square's really easily, personally I find it less confusing than premier pro. Here's a review I made about it kzread.info/dash/bejne/dqOqqridorWXnJc.html

    I typically use wondershare filmora, their transitions are pretty good but their best ones are ones that require to buy which sucks because I can’t afford to buy them with being the only person paying bills. Do all of these transitions in Final Cut Pro come with the software or did you have to purchase them as well? 🤔
