A new technique to me, thank you for putting this together and explaining the general procedure. Rethinking some of these lovely autumn trees around me in a nearby park that don't singularly make a compelling image, but collectively like this could definitely do so. Thanks again. Good health.

You don’t need an action to make all the layers at 50% opacity. Just highlight all the layers that you want to set to a certain opacity - and then choose the value you want, and all of them will have that value. You can do the same with the blend mode.

Hi Glenys, last month I gained my ARPS in Fine Art with a panel inspired by Pep Ventosa's 'Street Rhythms'. I wish I had seen your video before I started my project more than 18 months ago, it would have saved me a lot of time learning for myself how to get this effect. Great tutorial. p.s. hope you are keeping safe and well.

Excellent video, very helpful. Thank you. I have tried this but when I have a large stack like this I find that the lower layers have no effect even after changing opacity. Starting at the bottom I tried turning them off and it wasn't until I got to about half way that their effect was noticed. I'm enjoying experimenting but have yet to find a way to have all the layers in a large stack to have an effect. Any tips?

thanks Colin, I think you just have to experiment, I find certain images work better than others, I sometimes re-order the stack or take some out

Excellent video. One question though. What are your settings you use when taking the photos? Regular exposure settings as if shooting a sharp and clear landscape type photo? Or are you using a slow shutter speed? Incorporating any ICM at all? Thank you!

  • @GlenysGarnett
