As soon as he said "You know.." I was already laughing. This isn't fair.
Oh man, he nailed it. Wish I'd seen this years ago . RIP Gilbert.

I mean Gilbert Gottfried’s everday existence was an extended improv comedy set.
This was almost as good as anything scripted. Some people are just naturally funny. GG is one of those.

I laughed my ass off. Most comedians spend months honing a gag which turns out less funny. GG should be on the Mount Rushmore of comedians.
Rest easy Fred & Gilbert. They provided us with a lifetime of laughter
Yeah... You just didn't give him a challenge, you gave him perfect material.

I mean, you can't invite a veteran comedian just to embarrass them. I don't know if Gottfried is a big improv guy, but if he sucked it would have been shitty all around.

YOU DONT KNOW WHAT YOU GOT UNTIL ITS GONE..... RIP THESE LEGENDS.... LONG LIVE LAUGHS
One of the most unique comedians ever! Clean or uncensored still brilliant,You could send him in a time machine to any era, radio, vaudeville or put him in front of Napoleon , he would still slay!
...fun for a while, but when you're trying to read..." !!!!! BRILLIANT. This man isn't just FUNNY, he's a miracle of nature. A genius in the ACTUAL sense of the word. LOVE Gilbert! Thank you! GReat Vid!
Gilbert doesn’t even need to say anything funny to make people laugh, he shrills his first word and people lose it
Gilbert was a true natural. He could just fill in the silence in any room with laughter almost immediately.
I haven't laughed that hard in a decade. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Could you please post the full clip of Gilbert from Setlist !!!!!! I beg you !!!

Norms internet cult following has become disproportionate. Norm was funny a LONG time ago, but NOT funny "genius" funny. He didnt write. His standup routines were often marred by unfunny jokes and dead air (no applause) and now - worse then anything - hes a born-again jesus freak, conspiracy nutjob, flat earther, and seems to believe that being funny is in bad taste. Hes burned his bridges with most of his comedian friends and hes just old, slow, and unpleasant. Norm had great potential, but peaked too early, too low with SNL. Norm is one of comedy's biggest disappointments.

This man is a genius.
Just a one-of-a-kind guy. So deserving of the label, "Legend."
The very next video in my KZread recommendation was a swedish meatballs recipe...
Seriously... we need Gilbert Gottfried to start producing more content / movies / stand up... hell... imagine him getting his own series? Maybe a Modern Family kinda thing? or even a Comedic Supernatural?

Would hate to have to follow that. Thanks for the video
Great. This is a true comedian.
Stand up is hard; let’s make it even more hard to be funny!

Back in my day there was a book with pages with names on them made of paper, which at the time we called the phone book, that's what we used to call it. Books, back in my day, were printed bound pages that contained words, thoughts, and ideas as it were. Now ideas, ideas as we used to call them, back in my day people would have these ideas and sometimes , back in my day, ideas would be spoken, which at the time was another way of organizing words. But we also would organized objects, back in my day, such as tools which is what we used to call, back in my day, stuff that did things. Now at the time things weren't always tools, back in my day.....

They played right to his strength there ;)
This just proved GG was the greatest comedian who ever lived. No other comedian on earth could've spontaneously come up with a funnier routine based off that title.
i'm crying here 🤣

Rest in peace, you hilarious man.
Gilbert could read numbers out of the phone book and it would be hilarious.
He coudn't have asked for a better topic. This topic was made for Gilbert.
Hearing his real voice is still weird
I pretty much knew what he was gonna say before he said it
This is where reading on the toilet got its start
Oh my God. How did he do that??
And me, I'm.............squints at the cue card. Uh Jerry Hubbard.
I would've started off with a slap to the forehead and "Oh, balls! They've got me by the short hairs!"
I saw Rich Hall...
LMAO !!!!
HA HEH HA HEH HA
Gabagoooooooo.................
This guy and Robin Williams get the first place...
No Fred Willard setlist?
This really isn't a fair competition at all. Gilbert Gottfried automatically makes every word more hilarious with his voice.
already working before he gets on stage. I imagine Reggie watts would be quite comfortable in this environment.
🤣🤣🤣
He's great, a very tough thing to do. I think "I really hate pr_cks that look over my shoulder while I'm reading" would of work better that "can you move back"?
A Pro

Okay I don’t know how I haven’t seen this series, I just stumbled on this one, and once I learned the premise I looked it up to see who else has done it and instantly saw legends like bob odenkirk and Robin Williams that’s just the first two there goes my night. Don’t know how I never heard of this I think I’ve heard the term and maybe they were talking about this and I thought “standup without a net” was just a term but either way it’s clearly my fault

A true comedian is an improviser otherwise just a memorizer
OK-- reading a book w/Edison's lit-testicles flapping against the back of your head. Funny. But Dostoyevsky's "CRIME AND PUNISHMENT"?! I wonder if he read it; or "The Brothers Karamazov" or "The Idiot". Saw him twice live. One of the shining lights of comedy is gone.
7 people have no testees...
I get a feeling that no matter the topic is Gilbert would eventually start to talk about testicles or pubic hair in his teeth. Great set though.
