Edinburgh Zoo’s giant pandas prepare to return to China | BBC News

Visitors to Edinburgh Zoo in Scotland are saying goodbye to giant pandas Tian Tian and Yang Guang ahead of their journey back to China.
They have lived in the UK since 2011 but will be returning to China in December.
Preparations are under way to safely send them home, but for security reasons, the date of their departure will be kept under wraps.
The pair were originally only supposed to stay for 10 years, but the unique loan deal was extended due to the Covid pandemic.

You do know that panda’s are so sacred in China, that China will never attack a country with pandas right. So they will remove the pandas from a country before they attack them. They did the same in the USA

You don't have to be a panda expert to see the dire condition Yaya was in when at Memphis zoo. Look at the pandas in Korea, Japan, Malaysia and you will see how properlycared for pandas look like. Yaya may not have been abused but neglect is a form of mistreatment as well.

FYI,Panda Yaya, identified as stud number 507, is the offspring of Lele, who is identified as stud number 320. Lele has given birth to 12 panda cubs. Tragically, all of them except Yaya have passed away. Seven of these cubs died within a day of being born. Of the remaining four who reached adulthood, their lifespans were as follows: Jinxin (No.442) died at 5 years old, Jingxue (No.411) at 6, Jingjing (No.392) at 10, and Jinghui (No.469), the longest-lived among them, passed away at 10.5 years old in 2009 in Beijing. In comparison, Yaya is Lele's only surviving child, currently alive at the age of 22. This suggests that Yaya has received exceptional care, making her the sole survivor to live such a long life.

I know not what the meaning of having pandas in your homeland when political harrassment from china would never come to an end?
