Edinburgh is a big city, from Heriot-Watt University (South west) to Leith docks (North East). The tourists mainly stick to the city centre and thats why they think its quite small!

The Royal Mile is a Scottish mile in length, an Imperial mile is shorter. Scottish measuring units haven't been used in a long time.

Hi, thanks for visiting our amazing city 5% scottish You say get ya kilt on lad, firstly the royal mile is a mile long it all depends where u started and finished but its official size is 1 mile if u travel half way down next to the worlds end pub you will see where the city gates used to be that was the entrance to the castle gates. Also, the royal mile will charge people 30% more than say the new town area due to high rent charges. There have been a few price increases happening for attractions world of illusions is putting the prices up. Overall, it was a great video I enjoyed watching from a local. Well done, and I'm glad you had fun.

Hey Harold! I’d recommend walking the entire Royal Mile from Edinburgh castle to Holyrood house (stop at Haggis and Whisky house on Cockburn street to try Haggis, their signature dish) then if you have time, going down below and walking Princes street, the street parallel with it, and Circus Lane!

I'm trying to figure out how to wear/pack layers. Specifically, how do I bring a raincoat with me all day? Should I use my backpack, or will that really make me stand out? Do women typically wear handbags instead?

Sorry to burst your bubble, but if you’re not born in Scotland, you’re not Scottish. 5% or otherwise. you had ancestors back in the day that may have been Scottish. That’s as far as you go. And that goes out to all the other people that think their Scottish. if you weren’t born here, you’re not. Specially the people that can’t even say Edinburgh properly. It’s not really that difficult. you have a phone. you have Google. Need I say more or would you like me to spell it out for you? 🤷🏻‍♂️🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 ( Scottish people are sarcastic. Humorous and legendary. These are things other people around the world, just do not possess.) 🤣

So a pregnant Nigerian woman moves to Scotland, and once that child is born they're Scottish? You're low IQ. Race is literally genetics.
