I joined South Norwood aged 6 in 1971 and fished from Hever to Vexor until 1985. My dad was the club secretary for a long time. Broad A section will be permanently in my dreams as a halcyon childhood of fishing that river. I caught a 2 pound n 1 pound Roach at the Blackwall in 74...magic place. I wish you all the luck in the world.

Thanks for watching, that's great to hear, it always amazes me how many people have sch a strong bond with the Eden. I'm hoping the roach you mentioned was from near the resovoir inlet, one of the few 2lb roach I've ever heard of out the Eden. Keep watching loads more Eden content to come.

@@PaulVicaryfishing where the water goes past what we called the Black Wall it gets sucked up there by the pump house. It was trotting just beyond that. Never seen a barbel in that river in 40 years.. Heard of a Brownie once in 79. Saw Otter in 77. The mink used to be shot by one of the members. There were of course no Signals or Cormorants inland.

Great videos and keep up the good work. Used to fish the free stretch at Edenbridge way back in the 1970's. Great to hear about the barbel. I have seen them at Fordcombe, are they actually breeding in the Eden/Medway? Have a good Christmas
