This is so beautiful, knowing Ed’s story. His Dad gave him the gift of voice then guided him from the other side so they both got to see that blossom into something that’s has touched so many others. I loved the anger in his early work and now you can hear the resolve of the anger. He has come full circle. I always felt ED was channeling something so big and so moving, that it had to be other worldly. Shows how some of our biggest sufferings turn into our greatest gifts, his life’s purpose was so clear and he has blessed all of us by following his passion. Thanks for what you have given to all us listening ❤️.

So beautiful, happy and sad, and touching. To hear a virtual duet with a man and his deceased father. Eddie Vedder met him a few times and was introduced as a family friend ( according to sources I’ve read). Dad would be proud Mr. Vedder.

At first listen the opening notes my brain was like dang Ed's voice has this cool quality to it thinking it was an effect then I hear Ed actually kick in & after the second time Ed's dad comes back in..omg you realize it is in fact Ed's dad on thec track! I had to look it up immediately. I was beyond floored to see my suspicion was correct. There's definitely a shared tone in their register & they both have power not just in that resonance but in how they reach those power notes. It's uncanny. It's magical. It's beautiful. It's that fruition of "I'm still alive" but transcended & transformed into this absolutely sonically gorgeous reunion. What a meaningful, healing way to come full circle. I feel honored to be listening. The way this track makes me feel is beyond description. I could float here forever🎈🪽🪶

This song closes the most personal music Eddie has written, not only because of the lyrics of each song, but also the genres he plays in Earthling. And he sure sounds "released", which makes me really happy for him. If you listen carefully, this album could be an entire reinterpretation of the Momma-Son trilogy, but with a brighter ending for the main character.

There are parts I can’t tell if it’s Eddie or his dad. OMG, this is amazing! When I watched the interview where he talks about what he wished he would have know of/from his dad, I asked myself the same question and the first thing I said I wish I’d knew what my dad’s voice sounded like. As the interview went on and he talked about his dad’s recordings, I just lost it 🥺 This is beautiful. It’s a real treasure he has on his hands. 🥰

Flying (or watching) a black flag kite sounds like a fun passtime to think of whilst listening to this song. I imagine, before I'll ever see such a thing, I could do with surgery and physio and about 2 removal lorries to pack all my gear and home-made electronics lab into _(because it'd fill a shipping container with stuff)._ I was going to help people with that stuff _(which took ges to build up)._ Yet of late, strange things happened. My comment has no hate in it and I do no harm. I am not appalled or afraid, boasting or envying or complaining... Just saying. Psalms23: Giving thanks and praise to the Lord and peace and love.

Klinghoffer is an all around sick musician who plays alot of different instruments on the album. The bass player played with Alice In Chains and is sick!! Glen Hansen sings well with Eddie & goes out with just Vedder & plays acoustic guitars and sings just the 2 of them.A great part about Eddie & The Earthlings is they aren’t just Ed’s studio band that he is taking on tour with him. They were all part of the creative process & all of them had input on the tunes they were all in the studio & part of the recording process of the album as a true band!!
