Fil’s analysis was characteristically thorough, but he wasn’t the first KZreadr to raise the issue, or to specifically point out that supposedly different “live” performances were in fact identical.

This would have never happened when Glenn Frey was on that stage.

This is why they won't let people record during their shows. I spent a fortune to see them, and I feel I was completely ripped off.

I was at the last night at the Co op live Manchester last Saturday . I had my zoom camera with me and zoomed in on Henley when he was singing Hotel California. When I got home and watched my vid on my laptop I was shocked and felt cheated to see that he was indeed miming it.

Given that it's Don Henley, I wouldn't be surprised if this mess started because Don Henley sued Don Henley for singing Don Henley songs.

There is no "allegedly" about it. HE IS FAKING IT.

P!nk is known for breathing and doing things to make folks know she is singing live.

I’m glad to hear that she’s breathing, but I hear tell it’s a pretty commonplace activity.

After this faking it garbage I have more respect for Phil Collins final show and other musicians who have kept it going long past their voice is gone. It might be horrible, but at least its real.

There's no doubt that Don is lip-syncing. So, essentially for half your rent you can see an old man sit in a chair with some hired hands miming to old albums. Shit, you can come to my house and watch me do the same thing and I'll charge you less.

Sir after watching the wings of pegasus video comparing the audio of different “live” performances of Desperado I decided to watch their early performances from the seventies and boy that didn’t look too good. Some of them clearly were not in synch with the audiotrack yeah I’m convinced even in the seventies they lipsynched go watch those early shows.

I still find it hard to believe that Don is lip-syncing. Wouldn't the other guys raise an objection to something like that? Has Don addressed this publicly?

What other guys? The only person who could stand up to Henley was Frey and he’s dead. In fact, Henley only started mining in the post-Frey era. The other members are hired guns with no decision making, including Walsh and Schmidt.

I am disappointed in you Eddie. I only say that because I know that you know the answer. Don's all about money. That's why he has a team of people scour the internet to find any bits and pieces of his music to have taken down. Don just wants to get paid. He doesn't care about legacy. I am still shocked that the Eagles song got into The Big Lebowski. Maybe the Coens had to pay a fortune for it (or maybe Glen Frey had a sense of humor).

There has to be more to the story. I'm a musician, I know how these old school guys think. There is no way there are ok with this. Maybe they are "muscled" into it by the industry because THEY want the money. Maybe they are threatened. It doesn't add up to say they are just greedy so they still tour. Not REAL musicians like Henley who take pride in their craft. Doesn't add up.

It is quite difficult to do convincingly, which is how these guys keep getting caught when they inevitably fuck it up.
