I think Richard Pryor had respect for Eddie but deep down he was kinda tight because Eddie was younger and had the game on smash....Plus Eddie became a super mega star at a young age and surpassed Richard as far as fame. But both comedians are legends and need to be respected for their genius!

This guy is confused. Eddie said on the show, that "someone else told him (Eddie), that Richard was behaving that way." Eddie never witnessed it himself. Eddie also said, he (Eddie) wasn't told this information until waaaaaaay after. On the show, Eddie also said how Richard would know he's inside performing. Did this guy watch the show (comedian in cars), and hear his own version of what was spoken. This guy is too old. You know the experiment when someone says something, then it gets passed on person by person, and then what was originally said has completely changed...this is a perfect example. Then this nigga goes on to say Eddie didn't like him (Richard) or disrespect Richard, I wasn't there, but that has to be bullshit. It's not logical for someone (Eddie) to have a person (Richard) as their idol (Richard)and then disrespect him/her (Richard). Then he goes on to speak for Eddie, as if he knows what Eddie was thinking or wanting at that time. He (this old guy) said that Eddie didn't know Richard, only the stage Richard, but yet he (this old mf) is speaking on Eddie, like he knows Eddie, and Eddie thoughts and feelings. Harlem Nights: Director-Eddie Murphy Writer-Eddie Murphy Executive producer (money person)-Eddie Murphy Main actor-Eddie Murphy... If Eddie wanted to be in a scene, he (Eddie) could and would have put himself in the scene, with the so-called fun. If Eddie didn't like Richard, then why would Eddie put Richard in a movie with him. This old muthafuckin nigga is delusional. Now I don't believe anything he have said in past interviews. He is living in his own reality.

Plus I don't think Murphy was disrespectful in the interview with Seinfeld. He just gave it from his perspective. Honestly we are ALL here out of curiousity about certain details of celebrities lives that have not been revealed, definitely the great Richard Pryor. That's why we clicked and listen and why Rashon Khan is here selling true and exaggerated tales because we are interested. I believe there was competition, respect & envy by both Murphy and Pryor in their observation of each other. Murphy of course idolized Pryor and if you don't at least take notes from his stand-up and film roles, you are not learning from the best in business. Pryor very likely enjoyed Murphy's rise in the early 80's but it happening so fast on a large scale may have bothered Pryor considering how long & hard it took him especially for major starring roles Murphy got (48 Hours, Trading Places, Beverly Hills Cop, etc.). The Murphy rise also coincided with Pryor's deep dive into substance abuse from setting himself on fire and Hollywood picking their new 'favroite negro' in Eddie.

James Warren Exactly what did he say that had you “taken aback” Eddie said he never had any issues with RP and he idolized him. He said he never heard RP speak bad about him and they always got along and he still idolizes him. He only heard RP spoke negatively about EM after he died. And it was from someone else’s interview. Only after Sinefeld asked him the question.

I fully believe this story about Eddie, i was also at his house once and saw the same shit, he went upstairs to get ready and took a long time, came back down and the whole mood of everyone in the house was different, his vibe was on another level. The young cat who was working with him was one way then he came down and changed up based on Eddie. Eddie was like god to these people.

So he acknowledges that eddies 2 biggest idols are elvis and Pryor, then tries to convince us that eddie kept them waiting purposely for an hour an half on purpose yea that makes sense. Because he just didnt care that his idol is there? He was probably having a nervous attack! And this guy must have been the muscle because even eddie especially very young eddie is not going to interupt a conversation between Foxx and Pryor backstage on a legendary set like that! You'd have to be Robin Harris George carlin Bernie Mac or Sam kinison to even think about adding to that level of humor eddie was showing respect he was a kid and he did believe and them that movie was not a favor to anyone they all knew it was special so what it makes sense that Eddie and Pryor tell 2 different stories they were brilliant minds maybe theh didnt get along it's ok they dam sure worked together and respected each other also Eddie kept Redd Foxx on t.v with Della Reese until he died! and paid for his funeral as well, not this guy

It seems when great artists pass their heyday, they assume the new generation of greats don't like them if they don't give them a role or kiss their arse 24/7. The best way to pay homage to someone is to prolong their art. Eddie recently did it for Rudy Ray Moore by making Dolomite and his family still threw a hissy fit. He did it for Pryor whenever he got on a stage. Give it 30 years and someone from Eddie's entourage will say Eddie felt disrespected by Kevin Hart.
