I remember when I discovered vice in high school in the late 2000s and early 2010s and I was blown away by how raw and uncut it was. Now it’s a shell of what it use to be.

I'll never forget stumbling onto vice many years ago on youtube and it was some of the craziest stuff I'd ever seen. The middle eastern dude with the glasses was down for whatever and would be visiting a local gun smith in Iraq, swing by and have tea with the taliban and later in the evening go kick it with the homies and shoot wild coyote around military bases. I mean it was just bonkers.

Shame that VICE got so woke. Had such an opportunity to become a bastion of true journalism.

helped build the network... and sadly, it's not the same since Fox & especially Disney put 400 million into it... Even Shane admit and Gavin (both the creators of Vice) that they sold out for the checks... at least they are honest about it now. It was fun in the vbsTV days... real journalists taking risks... now it's as bias as National Geographic and basically the same group of 'reporters'

I’ll always have love for Vice. The funny thing is depending on who you talk to they’ll all tell you different times they thought it peaked and each one will have valid arguments. It might not be what it once was but it’s still a better world to have Vice around than not.
