You need to watch the fight. Haney won many rounds. Round 6, 8 and 12 where the swing rounds. If you give them all to Haney he wins, if you give two it's a draw and if you give one Ryan wins. A fight is scored based on rounds and what happened in the round before has no impact on the judging. Now I scored the fight to Ryan with a narrow win. He certainly won bigger OFF the scorecard but as people here are hailing Ryan as a fanboy why didn't he finish Haney off? Yeah he got off the hook in the 7th round but what about 10th and 11th? Guy knocked him down 3 times yet on a round-per-round basis it was still close. It is clear who is the better boxer. Haney got baited to fight the wrong fight, props to Ryan for that, but that won't work again and EVERYBODY knows it. That's why Ryan was so quick to say no rematch and Ryans fanboys acting like Garcia dominated the fight. He was dominating in moments due to knockdowns. Other than that he was on his bicycle and turning to his back.

Regis is also Eddie’s fighter yet Eddie never brought up the fact Haney weighted 165 on fight night compared to regis 154. But he brings up Ryan’s weight. I’m willing to bet the difference in weight from #HaneyRegis was larger than #GarciaHaney. Haney is used to always being the bigger man. First fight he fights someone the same size as him… Devin Haney 5’9 165lbs …regis 5’7 155lb, lomachenko 5’7 138lbs, kambosos 5’9 142lbs, jojo Diaz 5’6 140lbs, Jorge Linares 5’8 140lbs, Y Gamboa 5’5 138lbs all if these are fight Night weight.

This whole he fought a bigger man is bull they were almost the same size. Why tf do people not say this with fuys that are 1 or 2 inches shorter but weigh close to the same then? Oh much bugger then that can be considered the same and from here on out we should always mention size even if in the ssme weight class and onlt 1 inch difference with both guys weighing very similiar on fight night. It's gonna be interesting to see what's next for both Ryan and Devin. Ryan is talking about taking some time off from boxing, so maybe there will be no rematch next. Maybe Devin does fight Sandor Martin next.

Did he forget Haney was been doing this for years … Devin Haney 5’9 165lbs … Ryan Garcia 5’10 160lbs…. regis 5’7 155lb, lomachenko 5’7 138lbs, kambosos 5’9 142lbs, jojo Diaz 5’6 140lbs, Jorge Linares 5’8 140lbs, Y Gamboa 5’5 138lbs all of these are fight Night weight

I find it interesting that I'm hearing so much about Ryan being bigger than Devin, I remember hearing many times in the recent past that Devin is a weight bully, that he goes back up to 165 after weighing in, if so how big was Ryan? Imo, these guys shouldn't be allowed to gain more than 10 lbs from weigh in to fight night.

  • @obelisk.5890

Eddie is my favorite current promoter but I’m sorry I 💯% disagree with him blaming the loss on the 3 lbs and saying Ryan was way bigger on fight night being the reason Devin lost… especially because he never made that excuse for regis who’s a match room boxer. Devin Haney was 165 lbs on fight night after weighing 140 the day before. Devin has always been the bigger man physically in every fight he’s been in. This was the first fight he fought someone his own size, but the difference is Ryan has speed power and youth!

The ref should’ve stopped that fight twice where Devon was trying to get up. He paused for like two seconds he was out cold in those two seconds got up, asked the ref what happened I’m good instincts. He was knocked out. Tough to come back from this one, he does Sandor Martin’s a great fight for him.
