This Nigerian, right here, has never for once doubted AJ, even in defeat. Wanna know why? AJ NEVER gave an excuse in all of his defeats rather he chose not to let them get to his heart. He lived his own mantra. That's how I knew he was truly a champ.

Never get success get to your head and defeat get to your heart. Something like that lol. But yeah a lot of fair weather fans jumped off the hype train when AJ lost to Usyk the second time. But I prefer it that way the real ones stay regardless the outcome 👊🏿 but yeah he also had a lot of ppl who was around him relying on him to eat. Whilst they weren’t really adding to him so he had to make hard decisions and downsize his group.

Yup. DUDE BRUCE, ALL OF YOU FORGET THAT USYK is gifted the win because Russia beat Ukraine. The US and UK wanted to give something to Ukraine and their president Zelenksy who they had postered on time magazine. Both fights could have been ruled a draw. THAT'S WHY JOSHUA CRIED. HE WAS FORCED TO TAKE ONE FOR THE TEAM AS IN UK AND US whose support for Ukraine had been beat by Russia. TYSON fury recently let it slip in an interview. That they shouldnt gift USYK the win because his country is at war. Y do you think they gave USYK the win over Dubois despite the punch being on the belt line. Politics, and the Russian Ukrainian wars influenced those decisions. And he partially behind the USYK promotion.

Props to AJ, he's a real one. A shining example on how far doing the right things can get you. No wonder he was so upset at losing to Usyk. He'd spent and wasted years of his career chasing that WBC belt. I think Usyk now understands how difficult it is to get a WBC unification fight and probably sympathises with AJ now after what he's gone through trying to get Fury in the ring.

I started hearing about AJ and started watching Him around 2016-2017, I fell out of love with boxing for years prior to that I went over to MMA but AJ brought Me back to boxing, Fury and Wilder found a surge in their careers because of AJ the amount of times they and many other Heavyweights that have spoken about AJ in interviews and social media and everywhere else and had a positive effect on their career thanks to Him, He's done a lot for the Heavyweight division not saying those other guys don't deserve credit for their hard work but AJ was always the guy who the division revolved around not just because of His star power, but because He took the hard challenges and had the most potential. Alot of People, Myself included had to be reminded of that.

As a Nigerian who is a fan of MMA, boxing and AJ, I'd say that Nigerians aren't to blame. Nigeria is a footbal(soccer) nation. We don't care much about combat sports. Most Nigerians knew AJ after the Klitskcho fight and since then, they saw him lose to Ruiz and have his breakdown after the second Usyk fight. Most friends of mine thought AJ would lose to Ngannou becase AJ lost to a small man named Usyk 😂😂. We support our own. Our criticism comes from a good place, but I can say that many Nigerian companies that worked with AJ after his Klitskcho win pulled their ads after his lose to Ruiz. It's just business.

Nigerians turning their back on AJ was more sociopolitical than about boxing. AJ went and prostrated to the former Nigerian President whom many Nigerians disliked. In 2020, Nigerian youths had a massive protest called End SARS which they needed the voice of so many Nigerian popular figures. AJ didn’t lend his voice to that struggle until the final days of it. So when he lost to Usyk twice, many Nigerians were happy. Not because they understood why he lost or who Usyk was. But simply because he’d fallen out of favor with them.

I always think about this. Boxing fans and pundit now are days aelrw something else. I doubt if it was like that in the days of muhammed Ali. Do u know how many losses are on Ali,iron mike,George foreman and so on? Mayweather unbeaten record is part of the problem in boxing world. Mayweather avoided some fighters in his time and made sure some past their prime before he fought them. Fought Canelo at early age. Fury's own is worst. Look at his resume. Very poor and ppl still hail for being undefeated. When u don't fight the best u keep ta 0. 0 means nothing if u are not fighting the best. Usyk 0 means more cos he's been fighting the best unlike fury. Let fury take usyk fight and win we will know where he stands. No more ducking fught usyk. I for sure is pained that ppl now realize that fury is not what ppl think and for that the odd for him to loose have gone up.
