When you see people like eddie, thor and brian go real heavy, their form is great, ass to the floor smooth and controlled.

Eddie is tricky though, sometimes i feel he focused too much on explosivness and his Lock was an afterthought, it Showed with his 500KG and 472.5, The first one for obvious reasons and the second one i´ll never know if it even locked though was a brilliant lift

For my opinion are three best deadlifting legends: eddie hafthor and beni magnusson

That's just insane. That weight is incredible. I think casual viewers dont appreciate just how heavy these lifts are. Amazing feats of strength. 👏👏💪

Thor without a doubt the best deadlifter of all time. Did 455 x 2 raw with ease in training and also did 480 kg raw. Did a speed rep with 474 kg raw in competition while Eddie struggled and hitched to do 465 kg raw in competition. Thor did 350 kg x 10 on an axle bar with more in the tank at ESM 2019, Eddie's best is 360 x 10 on a regular bar at ESM 2017 and he didn't have anything left in him.

That 472.5kg Eddie did looked fast to me and in competition in a hot country which probably didn't help.

Thor has every advantage in comparison to Eddie, but still it takes him 5 years to break his record... this says it all. Eddie is maybe not the best built or technique deadlifter, but what makes him the best is his unbelievable mindset.

@@thanatos5765 Yep, that might be because Thor cared about his health and got stronger than Eddie peaking correctly, not "imma bulk like a bull cause i have to prove something", at 2016 and 2017 everyone feared Eddie´s death cause he wasn´t healthy, Look at Thor, got to that level after 5 years (3 actually but let´s say 5 for the sake of your argument) and has Lifted more than Eddie has, and i don´t mean just the 501, Thor has bigger official numbers overall and also gym numbers

Antonio Centeno nah bro, i cant agree with bigger numbers... deadlift only 1 kg thats nothing, squat i would say same, but Thors bench sucks, i dunno Thors max, but Eddie did 300 kg. But i agree with that he might have bigger deadlift, but we will never know, bc he is pussy and only lifted 501...
