Leeds United is to continue running a free, weekly health and wellbeing group for over 50s in their local community after receiving a new £10,000 grant from the Sky Bet EFL Building Foundations Fund.
The ‘Social Goals Group’ initiative was set up by the Leeds United Foundation to help people in the local community struggling with poor mental health, anxiety and living in isolation. It meets every Wednesday afternoon for fun sessions that include Leeds United-themed quizzes, activities, guest speakers and stadium tours.
Sky Bet visited Elland Road to capture the Social Goals Group weekly session and speak to legendary player and coach Eddie Gray, Leeds United staff and group participants.
