EDC Messenger Bag: Everyday Commuter
PDF: www.mediafire.com/file/qfram7n...
I prefer to carry a small set of EDC (“Everyday Carry”) supplies in a bag to provide me with various capabilities during my daily commute to work. In the past, these items were stored in a backpack and were organized by using color coded modules for the various categories of gear. The problem that I had with this approach is that it didn’t work as a system with my non-EDC kits, which are also stored in a backpack (e.g., Get Home Bag, Bug Out Bag). I can’t easily carry two backpacks. A few years back I made the switch to carrying EDC items in a single-strap sling / messenger style bag. This makes it possible for me to also carry an emergency backpack at the same time (if needed) and then leverage all of the individual gear as a system of supplies.

Glad to see you back! Outstanding! I so appreciate your thoughtful, logical, unbiased videos. I've gleaned so much from these videos over the years. You produce some of the best content I've found... Thanks so much and happy to hear you're well...
I love your videos. My favorite part is that you include a PDF for all of them. I've already bought a few products and have new favorite companies I support thanks to your knowledge and shared sources. Keep up the great work!
Wow Cliff, that is the most comprehensive and practical kit yet for someone with your occupation and lifestyle. And some of it would work great for anyone. Thanks for sharing and it's great to see you back.

Nice to see that the practical purse is being brought back in fashion. Purses are really convenient and much more comfortable than filling your clothes' pockets with stuff.

Awesome welcome back-!!! This is funny to me because I just switched from a sling bag to a backpack for edc- I found the imbalance of the sling bag was beginning to effect my posture and was just not providing me with quite enough room to carry all of the things I need on a day to day- just went to the direct action ghost for my edc bag-i know it's a bit big for that but I literally just got it this week so we'll see how it goes. Another thing I found funny is I've been using pencil cases as organizers since I started prepping as a budget friendly way to keep organized and cut down on weight and space as well. Anyhow, really glad to see another video from you. Always a pleasure

Another great Detailed EDC video. Thanks for the PDF file as that is always quite helpful. Vertx bags are really great and I also have this particular Vertx Carrier bag for specific purposes and does a great job for me as well. But that said, I would also highly recommend as another future EDC messenger bag option = the Maxpedition Skylance 28L messenger bag which provides a little more room and organization. But with this bag you do need to add (more expense and weight ) a water pouch, or 2, like the Maxpedition XBP Expandable Bottle pouch or even the Vanquest Hydra Water Bottle Holder. I actually use both of those Bottle holder options on my Skylance and both work great with it including holding all sizes of nalgene type bottles. The one thing i like about the XBP bottle pouch, is the extra zippered pouch besides the water bottle holder which is great for extra organization like putting utensils and snacks in.......
Happy to see another video! Keep them coming 😀

I'm using this bag as my daddy diaper bag. I'm using the Vertx Gamut (mentioned in your review I thought it was the coolest bag and I got it) as my EDC for now. After kids, I'll switch it over. I've fallen in love with the professional look of the Vertx bags. Also, I see what you did with the back pocket being for "ballistics shield." Kudos, with the new youtube stuff, don't want to demonetize over some small word or detail.

My pocket EDC revolves around a NiteIze Steel Key rack with:Photon Freedom Micro light, a small ferrocerrium rod, titanium Bogota lock picks, a handcuff key, a key to the removable hard drives on our computers, a P-51 can opener (the larger one), a NiteIze Doohickey, and a Leatherman Squirt Ps4, and a Benchmade folding knife. I also carry: a CPR pocket shield with latex gloves and CPR card, keys, Burt's Bees lip balm (can be used with ferrocerrium rod and tinder to start and extend fires), Apple headphones, iPhone with $20 behind case, Trayvax Ascent wallet, at least $2 in change, and a US Government Skillcraft pen on my work lanyard. As I've mentioned before, this is really intended to get me to my truck that has everything that I need to get home if I need to, whether it be in the truck or walking.

Urb: Good to see you again. I am retired now, so mostly stay w/in 20 miles of home. My daily back pack is smaller, much smaller, but being so close to home I can walk in two days easily. That must be pretty heavy, but you have it if you need it. I do fill up the trunk of the car w/ two other bags of everything I an think of, and decided to leave whatever I did not absolutely require in the car. More stuff at home so the loss would not hurt me. But I really like the messenger style bags.
