I don't mind spending money on expertly crafted, perfectly designed items that will last (and I have quite a few!), but I will never pay absurd money for a completely average item that just has a "fancy" name slapped on it. 😉

@@rokrok27 Not so much in the tech sphere, but things like a Shirogorov knife, a Grimsmo Saga pen, a custom backpack from a small maker like KS Ultralight. As soon as you step away from "known" brands you can find a world of incredibly made, perfectly designed gear that comes from passionate people.

Buy nice, buy for life. I got a $1k Karbon ski jacket 10 years ago and it is still going strong. It's much better to have a small collection of nice things than a pile of cheap junk. Hell, it's also better to get used nice things than new junk. I have a used Herman Miller Aeron that i got for $550-ish iirc. 10000% worth. If there is something i want, but cant afford atm, I set my self a year's goal and try to save up. Cutting down on eating out and doing meal prep saves so much $. There is no shame in eating rice and beans or a salad for dinner. Any ingredient can be dressed up and turned into something flavorful which is really the only metric that matters.

I completely agree that its more worthwhile to get a quality well designed product that will last a long time, but I think its a little unreasonable to start thinking about the 'luxury price' as more of a requirement. If that exact same bag was 150 instead of 1500, there's no way that he would ever think twice about it. I feel as though some like the idea of a 'premium' product more than they do the actual product itself. From my perspective, if there's some amazing product and it will last 10x as long as that other product, or say maybe is definitively more functional or aesthetic (i.e. adds some sort of value) sure I'll pay 10x for it. But now its like they won't even consider a product that is 'normally priced' because obviously that means its bad quality right? Have to go for one 10x the price, the 'premium', 'higher-quality' option. Even if it is not objectively better in any way. I remember reading somewhere that for certain products (especially in fashion, where almost all the measurements of value are highly subjective), high prices on luxury, designer items is a necessity in order for the consumer to be able to appreciate the product. Of course this isn't all-encompassing, I like my dollar tree t shirt alot, but I think this is a pretty interesting concept, and I am most definitely victim to as well.

Could have gone for the below alternatives 1. Want les essentials backpack instead of YSL 2. Bang and Olufsen H95 instead of AirPods Max which are cheap in sound and aesthetics 3. A Niche perfume maker like Xerjoff, PDM, Nishane, Maison Francis Kurkdijian, Fredric Malle, Amouage, Kilian, Initio, etc instead of Tom Ford Private line as not worth it and niche brands offer better fragrances for the same price. Things that are good in your EDC. Everything from Grams 28 Common Projects ❤ Rimowa IPhone case ❤ All Apple products except for the AirPods Max. Love this video and your content.

Please answer someone !!! Bro, iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro can take 12 bit colour depth photo when ProRaw turned on. But iPhone 14 Pro and 15 Pro can only take 10 bit colour depth photo when ProRaw turned on. Why ? I don't have an iPhone, so can anyone please let me know if you turn ProRaw in 12 megapixel instead of 48 megapixel, can it take 12 bit photos ? I'm curious about this because, 12-bit = 68 billion colours. But, 10-bit = 1.07 billion colours. That's a huge difference. If iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro cannot take 12 bit photos, that seems to be a huge downgrade ! ???

Irrespective of price, Mous do the best cases I've ever used. They're clean, and functional. The hybrid screen protectors are amazing as well. Would love to see a video with them if you ever get a chance to land them as a sponsor or whatever. I've used them since I switched to android ( I know, peasant 😢) and I'll never use another case again.
