    I look up to Ed Sheeran as a fellow guitar player myself since I started playing a few years ago and I sing as well. I also have been diagnosed with a stutter from a young age and have been bullied for it most of my life so when people try to bully me for stuttering I asked them this “would you ever make fun of Ed Sheeran?” There answer was no. I told them he stuttered and they didn’t believe me so I showed them this video and about Ed Sheeran stuttering they were shocked. They ended up apologizing in the end of things. I love how in the end he talks about embracing your quirks that all individuals have and to embrace them. Such a powerful message.

    I can control it most of the time in relaxed situations but still when Im in stress, anxiety or anger it increases significantly, I'm improvin it day by day by tacklin such situations, Just think before speaking Break the sentence into words And speak slowly while breathing out Don't lose hope...

    hey, be strong! remember, there are tons of people, even famous, who overcame stutter. always try to challenge yourself a little bit by talking to strangers more, signing up for speaking clubs. maybe practise your diction or try singing. and just remember - stuttering is not a decease. you are totally fine! one day you will become free enough to speak without any stutter, believe me. just dont let this little challenge of yours ruin your life. every person has something they have to fight with throughout the life, sometimes even themselves.

    I am blind in one eye, deaf in one ear, ill inside and mentally ill (Depression and Anxiety) while have a stuttering and having terrible reading things. So in class I need to use everything I can. All the hearing and sight I have left, trying to focus on my school work and trying not to have really bad stomach everyday. I am so weird and clismy that people need to protect my class and then more problems as being a girl in an ICT line

    Absolutely love this! You can notice his stutter but it’s hardly noticeable. Awareness and respect in all forms of communication are important. I have ADHD and I wish everyone I talk to, or when I try to tell a story, good luck. 😂 I promise what I am trying to communicate and convey, it’s there but it’s as though my brain short circuits. It takes me longer because I forget a detail and have to go back in time, then remember where I left off. Just give us patience and we promise we will love you in return to the full extent in appreciation. Our thoughts are there but our mouth filters can become unpredictable. Lol

    My daughter's father, who was killed by a drunk driver just before she turned 5, also had a port wine stain on his face. It was literally just a non-event and I didn't really even see it. Ed Sheeran is just an amazing human.

    Unfortunate comment about plumbers on a ceremony about acceptance.

  • @theindoorkites

    @theindoorkites

    There's nothing wrong with being a plumber. But you missed the point. Ed was bullied at school for a really long time and was always treated like an alien. But now the cool kids everyone wanted to be are working _for_ the weird kid nobody gave a chance to. It's not about being a plumber, it's about telling kids with quirks and stutter etc that they're not disadvantaged in life versus the more socially accepted cool kids. That they can be the employer of those cool kids at school and that the hierarchy at school and the treatment they receive does not translate into real life.
