@@beckybexx7574 i don't think the autumn variation is the original subtract because, he made this album with denser who also produced the latest ed Sheeran album ( subtract). And we know ed said he sorted out all the best songs from his albums throughout his 10 years of mathematic era and we'll not get to see it this year, autumn variation was the 1st album ed was making but then sadly subtract happened.

Ed Sheeran is great. But do you guys think this documentary is scripted? Like after maybe having the song idea, and making a rough song out of it they just maybe like created these jam seasions with the same people. Bcz i feel, its coming to him very quickly, maybe im wrong and it is that way. But a part of me feels this documentary was made just for the sake of showing people people the mock process after going through the very lengthy process of developing these songs, the process that may not look that great in a documentary. Just MAYBE.

I agree, I thought that it sounded similar as well, but even if he was inspired by it that’s just music. Every musician and every songwriter is just standing on the shoulders of the artists that inspired them and those artists are standing on the shoulders of their favorite artists. We all do it. Many times it’s subconsciously. You can’t help it. The music that inspired you becomes a part of your soul and it shapes who you are as an artists.
