This album resonates with me more than any music ever has. My dad passed away in August and my best friend all the way back from kindergarten passed in September. I had already felt like I couldn’t breathe after losing dad. When I lost Sue any reserve of air I still had exited my body. I think I’m ok because I keep myself busy caring for my mom … but I’m not, and don’t think I ever will be. Sort of like Ed said in his Disney+ documentary, you grow up the moment you have that significant of a loss. Even at my age I was still daddy’s little girl. My dad was sitting in the hospital bed and it was just him and I. I already knew he had pancreatic cancer because my fiancé would hawk the hospital computer right after dad had tests, so we knew before the doctors even told dad. Anyway, it was just him and I and I looked at him and for the first time didn’t see dad, but saw an elderly man who was coming face to face with his mortality and I couldn’t hold the tears in anymore. They flowed down my face and dad said, "It's ok, you’re my girl". Since moving in with mom I have felt like I’ve been dancing with my eyes closed because dad is everywhere here. So thank you Ed for putting all my feelings the past 9 months into this beautiful album. And thank you to whoever had read this far. Hug your mom, dad, siblings and friends because you don’t know what tomorrow will look like ❤️‍🩹

So sorry for your loss,I've been there I was 16dsd died from cancer bladder ,I then grew up moved out ended up in abusive relationship ran away went homeless got bk on my own feet I got ajob and flat wht happened nxt heared old befriend of 8yr od.so I was on anew oath met another guy he ended up alunitic , abusive had the law ,courts terrified got ptsd ,ended up in hospital 7times bust up.wanted to be single upgraded as I'm aqualified chef got my own apt and alittle dog was getting strong met another guy ,best since just two months if two yrs together then last WK he left he knows I've trust issues I've had anasty past but he's msg but I'm hurt as I gave the most trust I could give I was trying I'm angry now for giving him trust and now I feel yes he was the best man I had but my trust is broken my heads so bad I just keep waking up in tears, I promise myself I'd never get involved with some 1and after he got in to my emotions look at his actions.i don't know if I should take him bk or not.my heads screwed..but u keep pushing the rain doesn't last forever love from Dublin ireland 🇮🇪🙏🙏💕

I lost my wife to cancer. I found this song today (May 20th). We would have celebrated her 53rd birthday this weekend. This song is so beautiful , “when I hear your name, I think of love”. Grief is a journey and this song seems to capture so many feelings and thoughts that have rolled in my mind since we lost my wife a year ago. Thank you for this beautiful expression. ❤

I lost my Mom in September and this song hit me like a train. Sobbing in my car and had to pull over. Thank you to Ed and Luke. I'm also a brain tumor survivor, so I will say many prayers for your beautiful wife and family.

I am loosing my husband in pieces some days more difficult to deal with than others.Parkinsons with lewy body dementia.We haven't had nearly enough time. Many days he doesn't know who I am, but he will tell me I'm pretty & cook good.I am his arms legs and brain somedays.He is my heart. I remember the first time I heard of Ed Sheeran. I'm in Canada so things come a bit slower. He was playing his small guitar on a boat travelling down a river playing bump. I played it on repeat and felt it to my bones. I spent so much time looking at every video! I was offered free taylor swift tickets and cried when I found out ye was opening..devestated when trafdic made me late for his act.. And he came back and we all loved him. Im so happy for him and all his successes and happiness. Ed Sheeran's songs will be eternal. ❤
