My condolences to you and your family. I lost my mom in 2018. This song resonates to me because life has never felt the same since and that grief for her has never left. You learn to live with it, some days will be very hard but as Ed says, “The waves won’t break my boat.” 🥹 All we can do is continue the way we know how. Just know you’re not alone. 🫶🏽

I have gotten that same feeling. I've always said that nothing he does would ever top Divide, but I believe Subtract is going to do just that. I believe it could be his best album ever.

I’ve been looking forward to this album. I lost 2 people close to me, my best friend was hospitalized and almost died, lost my job, called off a wedding, and lost my house, ended up in court over the issue with my job. Meanwhile I have to hold my head high for my daughter. I have her everyday. 2022 was a hard reset on life for me. This song is special to me, and I can’t wait to hear the rest of the album like this.
