Being solely a box squatter for 2 years too many, I have the issue of the ass coming up quicker than the bar on free squats. I always had the suspicion it was because of my underdeveloped quads. Amazing Q&A.

Hi Ed, I worked out with Chuck Durr out at Match point point in Griffith. I would go to Quads with him and train at his gym Eyecatchers. I like all of your deadlift videos and the ones with Dave Tate.

Hey Ed, got two different opinions on proper squat depth. I know you competed in the IPF and their rule book is what I am interested in. When squatting, I believe you have to go "convincingly deep" past parallel. But is parallel when your VMO is at the same level as the hip crease or when the boney part of the knee is at the same level? Because then it would change as your quad gets bigger if the first is correct.

ED what are your thoughts on ab training? Is direct ab work a must or do they get strong from deadlifting and squatting?Would RKC PLANKS suffice in a strength training program? Thanks for your time, take care!
