Ed "Big Daddy" Roth at home on EYE ON LA (circa 1986-87)
Ed "Big Daddy" Roth was a very creative Artist. He did illustrations, pinstriping, and created the silk-screen T-shirt,. He created the hot rod character "Rat Fink", which was a sort of a rebellious Mickey Mouse character. Ed was well-known for a custom car designer. Some of his well-know cars include the "Beatnik Bandit", "Mysterion" "Outlaw" and "Druid Princess". Ed was an absolute GENIUS when it came to creating and building "kustom" cars !!

Great piece of history. Roth was a true genius and did his own thing in his own way. His work inspired me tremendously over the decades. Interesting to see how clean cut he became after he left the wild beatnik image behind.

It was the Cars of Stars Planes of Fame museum, yes I had been there with Ed as well. I don't know about any BBC show, as this video was from a TV show called Eye on LA back in the 80s.
