I NEED A BIT OF HELP....i am having 2 red cap orandas ( both 2-3 months old)...firstly i had only 1...it had really dark red wen or hood when i got him..but later the colour faded to orange , i thought it was bec of genetics...later i got another baby 45 days old it had even more dark red wen...but now its colour has also started to fade ...i dont know why...water quality is perfect...having 1 airstone and 1 sponge filter( for additional filteration) ...they both are around 2.5-3 inch (with tail)...in a bare bottom tank 30 gallons (2.5 feet by 1 feet by 1.5 feet) ....feeding 3-4 times a day ...very little amount (good quality food) .....but the tank barely gets any natural sunlight ....maybe thats reason....but i dont have any free space with sunlight....can you help :(

Mohd, Your initial though is aligned with my analysis. To boost the red Wen or head growth, you need natural light, and green water. Plus feed them with blood worm. If you don’t have natural sunlight, you have to use Full Spectrum LED lights. Here are mine: - My Full Spectrum LED Light amzn.to/2CPaA7J - My NICREW Full Spectrum LED Light amzn.to/3dQVSfL

I have a panda butterfly. Is there any traditional way to keep the black colour longer? Pls make a video about why it’s so hard to keep the black colour on goldfish? How to keep them longer? Thanks!

  • @GoldfishCorner

This is tough topic. Black color is probably the most tricky color. Two tips: fishing keeping skill and gene. If you fish get red spots then the black will turn red eventually. Natural light and live food will boost black color

Goldfish Corner thank you so much!!! is there any boost black man made fish food? What kind of live food do you recommend? How many years do you think the black can last? There’s a theory, if fish lives in a black environment instead of a glass tank, they will turn more black, do you think it’s true? 🙏 thanks

@@wifiof6083 that is right dark color background tends to let the black color last longer. Nature instinct for ambushing. Blood worm is good live food. some hobbyists use long lighting even 24*7.

Hi Mr. Lei, I just want to ask what kind of light should I use for my fry that's still bronze in color if I'm grooming indoor? My ryukin is 3 months old and almost 4 inches but still pure bronze. Can you give me a recommendation what kind of light I should use? Thank you
