Economics Of A Quick Service Restaurant | Business Breakdown @ShyamJiCholeBhature
Eager to learn more about the workings of the food industry, Mesa student, Tanay Agarwal turned his attention to Shyamji’s Chole Bhature, aiming to uncover the secrets behind their #business model and the #economics of a successful Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) chain, and it’s operations.
In an enlightening conversation with Chetan Kedia, the Co-Founder of Shyamji’s Chole Bhature, at their flagship location in Malleshwaram Bangalore, Tanay explored Shyamji’s journey from its early days to its current position- 8 outlets spread across Bangalore, selling over 50,000 bhature a month!
Alongside Chetan, they will take us along for the ride, providing valuable insights into the unit economics, financial strategies and marketing techniques that helped Shyamji’s become the icon it is today.

Shyam Ji’s is my favourite place for North Indian food in Bangalore. Being from Delhi, it’s feels like a piece of home away from home! ❤

Which location is it in?
I am opening a Delhi style chole bhature stall in mumbai next month. Wish me luck ❤🎉🎉
Favorite chole bhature place. Happy to learn more about its journey ❤
Thanks for catching up all the points. But interrupting while the person speaks is not good. You just ask the question and let them finish instead of over asking another question or “hmm hmm” .
How does he maintain quality and consistency of products between the 8 locations? How does he plan to scale the business into more locations? How does he maintain profitability in online orders with high margins of food delivery platforms? These are some more questions that I would like to know.
Good questions and good info! Thanks!
Loved it!!
superb effort
Superb content
well done team
❤❤
Good quality, but he will have to solve for skilled labour dependency if he wants to scale
If staff salary is only 15% then it means his staff is definitely underpaid and he has a threat of attrition

He is talking about unit economics, as you scale the fixed cost remains the same and volume would justify the margins

Wow 😂
60000 ADS is not bad at all
They have literally copied the whole brand from Natraj Chole Bature.
NCB laughing in the corner.
Tanay's "hun hun".. "Got it" is so annoying.
