how much does the battery drain when using the heat? how long can it be on for? I work security sometimes over night in canada 12 hr shifts,, and wondering if this would be good to use at work in the fall, early winter.. and lets say it starts storming, is it safe to be in this thing if its during a thunderstorm or something? lastly does this require a license or is it classified as a bike etc?

Not sure, I don't own this, just did a review, my mother purchased this, she is using every few days, still on the same batteries, it definitely does not throw much heat, mostly just slight warm are that wpould only be good to defog windows..... did not seem to drain batteries when I tested, however I did not test long, I suspect OK in the fall but winter the battery life is reduced significantly. From what I read online, in Canada, Ontario there is the Low-speed vehicle pilot program. A low-speed vehicle is an electric, four-wheeled vehicle that is smaller and lighter than a regular car. Low-speed vehicles have a maximum speed of 40 kilometres per hour. In addition to meeting the requirements under the pilot program, low-speed vehicles must have insurance and be registered through ServiceOntario.

It looks like your video is over a year old now. Would you mind me asking how the unit is doing a year later? Motor and batteries are my main concern. I'm going to look at one on Tuesday and I live in cold Canada as well. I'm actually in the Parry Sound area so the heat will be very important to me. I can't recall if you said in the vid how much you paid for it but the ones I've been seeing are all around the $8000 mark. Have you ever been pulled over with it? If so were you hassled or were they just curious about it? Is there anything I should know about the legalities of it being on the roads or sidewalks? I've looked at so many different types including the Boomerbuggy X and so on. This one excites me the most out of all of them. I have also noticed the same unit that you own under at least half a dozen different brand names. The one I will be going to see is called a "Gio Golf". It is identical to yours on the outside but I see some very minor differences on the inside. The controllers being one of them and the one I will be looking at apparently has air conditioning as well lol. Who would have thought eh ? I really do hope you see this and can give me some advice if you have any. The biggest thing for me that I'd really like to know is how you're making out with this unit a year later down the road. How many km's have you put on it and how are the batteries and motor holding out. I would imagine replacing either of those will be ridiculously costly so I hope it can go for quite some time without needing replaced. I'm on disability and have been saving up bit by bit for close to 8 years now for something like this. I'll never be able to buy another one due to the high costs so I'm really hoping what I get will be durable and long lasting. Thank you kindly for posting the video and for showing us what it's like to actually drive it. Please do keep safe there and take care. Thanks again. :)

So this was purchased by my 80 year old mother feb 2021 that is when I did this review, she uses it about 3 to 4 times a week on avg. She just had a battery replaced at the cost of 260 cdn dollars, there are 5 batteries in the vehicle, the vehicle is running normal again, when the battery died ( it exploded ,had a hole in it when removed) it would only go 5 kilometres and would not take a charge. She has never been pulled over, it is considered the same as any normal mobility scooter, it falls under her home insurance, so no additional insurance was required. She drives it along the side of the road, like most bicycles do. I don’t know a lot about these except for her experience, it works for her, she has room for her groceries in the back, she uses it primarily to go to market and occasionally drives to her sisters around 4 kilometres each way. In Canada it will be important to store in a garage in the winter months, cold is hard on batteries. Hope this helps, good luck with any purchase you make Paul. I will try and do an update review on my channel soon, to let all those who have been asking know how it has been running. Oh she paid 7500 cdn in Feb 21 for a display model that had I believe 250 kilometres on it, also note, there is no tax in Ontario Canada on these, as they are classed as mobility scooters for disability users.

@@stonkthecat Thank you very much Rick. I really do appreciate you getting back to me. I'm on ODSP and am in subsidized housing. Right now I am fighting with housing to let me put up a shed outside to keep it in. My worry too was for the batteries during the winter and I'll be in a rather large pile of shit if they absolutely will not allow this as I'll have no place heated to keep it. My deal is time sensitive as the unit I am buying was damaged slightly during shipping so it is discounted to reflect that. The parts to fix it are all included so I have to make a decision on Tuesday well before I get a yes or no from housing. I guess if they outright refuse my request I can fix the scooter and sell it. Time will tell. Thanks again Rick and please do keep safe and take care. I'm glad this worked out for your Mom too.

What Kind of distance do you get on a full charge?
I love that little car I need something like that wish I could afford it
i wonder if the dash screen could be up graded and have a solar watt read out
How much do it cost how fast do it go and do it come all apart together or do I have to put it apart
I like the exterior too.
I have one of these too and have the same problem with the left side mirror. It would be nice to have a way to see in back of the vehicle while driving forward. Nice review.

how much does the battery drain when using the heat? how long can it be on for?

Wish I could help you more, best would be ask these questions to a dealer BD.
The way things are in gas prices, we might have to use those.
How does it do with hills?
How can you break the car in 4 pieces and still can put it back as a car. Or use it separately as 2 bikes and if you want it could be 4 big Luggages. With storage and everything for travelling? When you can do that. It will be useful.

I'm in Cambridge, ON so we get some pretty cold winters here as well. So let's say it 25 below zero - if you were driving at medium speed (or TWO), how much battery range would you get realistically?? I'm thinking probably between 40-50 km's. And some nights it gets even colder than minus 25, so I'm wondering if this would affect the reliability of this scooter??

So my mother has been driving this just occasionally, and so far has only charged twice, she seems to get approx. 80 kilometers on a charge, she only drives to the store and to visit her sister a few kilometers each way, I would say the plastic is cheap and it can be a rough ride over bumps, but it gets her around and she does not have to worry about rain, she lives a 80 kilometers from Ottawa so we have similar weather, she like it overall, she is 80 and it gives her some mobility freedom so it was worth it for her....around 8000 CDN
