I found the Ecobee Premium with 2 remote sensors at Costco for $239.99, so I bought 2 for my home to replace the very undependable ones that are part of my Cox Homelife system. The first one took me a couple hours because I discovered a mistake made by the Cox installer. I had to open the air handler and condenser unit on my upstairs heat pump to make up the wiring. The downstairs Ecobee took me about 20 minutes to complete. So much easier on the second one. I still have a lot to learn about the software, but I think I am going to enjoy them. I don’t expect to save much because we are both retired and are home almost full time, but the software and hardware are far superior to the Cox units.

The hold feature "decide at the time" what pops up? Does it allow you to decide the hold temperature at the time? Ie a different time each time if you wanted?

I got this same exact wiring setup but it doesn't turn on my heat or anything. When I put my old Rheem thermostat back on, it works..

I am considering this versus the Sensi Smart touch 2. Which do you recommend?

Yes, you'd have to create a login either on Ecobee's website or their app.

Can I use Siri to control this ecobee? Do you know if I can use Siri with the ecobee lite?

Both thermostats are Apple Home compatible. As long as you connect the thermostat to your Apple Home you'll be able to use Siri from your phone or smart speaker to control it.

Just confirming that I can get a max range so no one can change the temperature below a certain temperature? Will be using for rentals.

Yes, you can set a heating or cooling range in the app.

Our Ecobee does not have the blue or orange ring.

Biggest difference is screen size, UI and the Nest automatically changes temperatures based off your schedule where with Ecobee you manually setup a schedule and after every month it suggests any changes to your schedule.

Just got two Ecobee 6 and i am extreamely disapointed, i miss my Nest thermostat as it was so much easier to program and adjust. Ecobee is all over the place... Not happy so far

Instead of manually setting up schedules, shouldn’t this smart thermostat be self-learning based on the temperature you set throughout the day/week? My Nest created its own schedule and adjusted within the first week based on my preferred temperatures.

Ecobee is different in that regard. You manually setup a schedule and at the end of the month it suggests changes based off your routine. Then you decide whether adjust your schedule based off of Ecobee's recommendations.

Old days they said if you don’t have any problem buy a goat ..I mean if you wane go crazy get ecobee .. I’m sure even ecobee inventor don’t know how to operate this shit …
