Have you heard about leather made from cacti?
To achieve this, we needed to remove the spines from the cactus, for which we used a torch. Then, we cut it and passed it through a blender to obtain a homogeneous substance!

I guess that the blue chemical added is a polyurethane resin. Considering that what is used in the elaboration process of this leather comes from a vegetable source such as cactus, it becomes necessary to add a binder that improves the properties of the material. Also, it would not make sense that the blue liquid is just a dye because at some point we need to avoid the development of microorganisms that could grow in the pure cactus slime.

That's not chemical
I suspect the blue chemical is Chromium Sulphate, the one used in animal leather industry for chrome tanning. Would be nice to have confirmation from the video maker.
