@SS Hinduism is all about respecting nature. The dismantled customs have however changed the orientation. If we worship Ganga , we must also know how to respect her. You don't pile up flowers on your mother , to let her suffocating , just because she is the mother. Yes, there are also sources of pollution and major ones. But, that doesn't mean you shouldn't do what you can. Even tiny bit of work in right direction is useful when it comes to pollution .

@SS The incense being used nowadays contain artificial resins . Fumes of these resins are the maleficent. In ancient times they used natural raw materials only. Wake up , because it is the right time. Otherwise there will be no humans (including Hindus) to follow Hinduism. I'll rest my point here.

I know lot of people do feel the same way and clearly you're one of them. My Hinduism has taught me to respect mother nature first , and then humanity. All these customs are secondary. If you'll have an in depth knowledge of your religion, you'll know how these shallow customs destroyed the very essence of our great religion. We need to move back to the ancient Hinduism. Please stop feeling so vulnerable and stop spreading these views to make others feel the same way too.

. Coz chemical free products are relatively expensive & buyers are not many. If people stop counting a few rupees difference & think in terms of the impact their few extra rupees is making to the environment & the income generation of marginalized people -- then there will be more sellers of such products & change will be far more visible

I don't know why, but I've totally been addicted to Scroll.in videos, be it eco India documentaries or the Morning Fix news. You are awesome guys, please don't turn out like Quint, which I thought to be a good neutral source but has started to show its real color by publishing highly biased and selective news coverage of late! So true, I also first thought Quint to be non biased bring true stories, but they are just the other side of spectrum, I have now unsubscribed Quint, I like this channel for showing this kind of stories.

As a kanpurian, I felt proud. This was one of the biggest challenge Ganga was facing in the city. Hats off to you guys. :-)

I am from Malaysia and when I listen to such programs it is so inspiring to know that there are so many good youths in India who are willing to come forward to solve such problems and in the process giving much needed employment to so many. Kudos to you both. One request this could be extended to other places especially the south where the raw material could be found. Keep up the good work.
