Eco Bundling - How to Naturally Dye Your Own Clothes

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

In this video, I’m taking you step by step through the process of eco bundling as I dye a few thrifted shirts. Working with natural dyes is such a fun and rewarding creative way of working - especially when you can use natural dyes to transform secondhand items and give them new life.
Dye practices vary from artist to artist, and what I’m showing you today is a bit of a simplified method that’s easy to do at home with what you have on hand. I hope it inspires you to try out naturally dyeing! Let me know in the comments what you think about this process and if you’re going to give it a go!
What I’m sharing is just a small slice of the knowledge that’s out there. If you’re interested in eco bundling, I encourage you to do more research and try out different methods and materials. Check out resource links below for ways you can learn more about natural dyes, as well as purchase dye materials if you wish (I have no affiliations with any natural dye brands, these are simply my suggestions).
I’ll definitely be making a lot more videos about natural dyes because there is so much I want to share with you. If you have ideas for anything you’d like to see me dye, or any dye processes you’d like me to teach, let me know in the comments as well! See you soon and keep creating :)

@khamera1497 I soak my clothes in a solution of vinegar, Alum, iron and soda ash. Let it dry and then wash them. Then they are ready to use:)

@@khamera1497 almost. You can make it by putting baking soda in the oven and baking it to make soda ash. Or buy soda ash

There are wrong ways to dye... #1 is by using your kitchen supplies for both food and dye.

Yes, such a great point! Anyone dyeing at home should never use food prep utensils for dyeing and vice versa

You never followed up with the mordant process which is vital for color setting or all the work you're demonstrating is useless.
