Eh, can experiment with timing tables but a dyno is always the best way there. I've just started with a 2g map and then built from there and I always, ALWAYS inspect plugs when trying new things or dialing things in to see how they look.

@@V8sareslow1 I figured dyno would be the best way as far as timing goes. I am using the base 2g timing map but only 13* up top to get rid of knock on 93.

My laptop will not connect to my ecu. I got it last week once. Ever since then, it just says no connection found. I've tried 2 different laptops with the same result. I ordered a new cable adapter, think that's it?

Ecmlink chip I had was faulty. Sent it back worked fine. Unfortunately had to sell my talon 😭

Hey i tried use the ecm link today, never used before i have a 1998 gst eclipse and nothing happens in the program no matter what i do i only get "no response"

Sounds like you're not connecting to ecmlink. Are your drivers downloaded? Are you sure the cable is working? Is there power at the diagnostic port (tried connecting a code reader)?

Have a question buddy.... do I need to send the ecu to get worked on to ECMLink before I can tune car

Yes, I sent mine. I didn't trust any of the local shops or myself to do the work. Worth it and worth the wait to have everything done RIGHT the first time.
