I remember playing on Titan with my friends once, and I was staying behind to do recon, in the safety of the ship. But once they started dropping one by one, the radio eventually became completely silent, and all I could hear was this track and the footsteps of what seemed to be around five dogs outside. This track works most effectively when you realize you're completely alone, and have to go and attempt to collect whatever your crewmates left behind.

​@@Borgolii Nevermind the fact that the game itself advises you to have one person stay on the ship for camera duty and to help disable mines and turrets while also being able to unlock mag doors. How about you learn how to play the game before opening your damn mouth.

At that point, you have two choices, either go and try to collect your friends’ loot, or cut your losses and get out of there, or if you have a teleporter, teleport the corpses back to avoid the fee.

The first eclipsed experience is something else once this music creeps in after you land.. "Umm guys? It's dark outside.."

Even monitor guys are at constant risk on eclipsed moons. You'll be busy trying to orientate and help your crew, and then that damn dog finds its way to you. Feel sorry for any brave souls that ventured into the eclipsed bunkers and were left without a guide, good fucking luck lol

after weeks and weeks of playing the game with friends, seeing updates, new enemies, new features and such, we all know to avoid eclipses unless completely necessary. we have braved through the harshest environments, roughest moons, flooded rivers, and stormy skies, yet nothing ever can prepare us for the horror that is an eclipse. everybody knows the protocol: hop off comms until inside, mute mics, crouch at all times, type in chat only. it still isn't enough to course through the day alive, one teammate gets devoured by a colossal worm, another ripped to shreds by a large toothed thing, the last by an eldritch abomination hell bent on hunting you down in the darkest corners of the labyrinth, with two piercing white eyes, tall slender limbs, and a growl so foul that even the bravest man would surrender to its incredibility. The worst part is seeing it all happen before your very eyes, and being the last to take a breath on a far away moon from home

The pure darkness and the sudden increase of monsters outside bring this thing to a whole new level of absolute doom and fear.

This has this majora's mask final hours feeling

There should be a mod for the eclipse theme to be replaced with final hours from majora’s mask

When you're with your friends, you ignore this music. Once you are all alone, the music is unnerving.

I love the atmosphere this creates, the texture is perfect

Really captures the mysterious and suspenseful vibe, which in a way is what Eclipse is all about. You don't fully know what the game is going to throw at you, and that's the terrifying part.

I’m still really new to the game, but I’ve been on eclipsed more than any other weather by a large margin, I remember the first time I went my friends didn’t tell me about eclipsed so we landed and they told me to stop talking and stay in the ship with our guy in the chair, they made a dog wall and I remember hearing this music, having no idea what we went into, seeing them leave the ship in utter silence into the red stained sky with a shadow being cast by the moon. It’s sort of beautiful the soundtrack, it’s graceful but deadly and I think that adds to it, the fauna outside the ship aren’t malicious but are just surviving. They aren’t out to kill you in particular

Gonna play this in a couple hours when the solar eclipse passes over my part of the country.

My experiences with the eclipses are the most eerie and interesting, my friends and I landed eclipsed Rend, and one friend asked me if I had a walkie talkie and asked me if I had mine, to which I said, “I was told id be given one but everyone went main, so im going fire, ill only make one trip.” On the walk to Fire Exit I remember everyone talking and then rushing main, once in fire exit, I only gather the highest value loot and immediately returned home, slowly walking to the ship to have that same friend to cycle through the cams, worried, he send a transmission in hopes they would move, only for them to remain completely still. Turns out the when I strayed away, it would actually he the last time id hear from them, because none made it back but me, all the while me and that friend stared at the cams helplessly while this track played, just hoping and praying one would move, once all hope was lost, we transmitted the message: “Goodbye” and started the ship.

Always reminds me of Pitch Black. When you stay way longer than you should on a planet that is not meant to be survived by humans.

I will never forget that time I went to an eclipsed Rend during a solo playthrough. This ambience combined with the loud winds and the footsteps of a forest giant made me appreciate the sound design even more. God bless you, Zeekers.

I was talking to my friends on Rend and we accidentally split up because of the snow, I heard a giant and took shelter in that one small house before retreating to the ship and finding out that my friends all died just 30 seconds after speaking to them, and the way the smile completely disappeared when I found out that we were under quota by around 80 and only 1 day left, though by some miracle I made the quota, all solo.

i remember playing this game for the first time and not knowing anything about the game. my friends all went out and we was having fun and stuff (i stayed in the ship cuz i had died 2 rounds previous) and i spoke through the radio to hear no response for 4 seconds. suddenly i heard "goodbye Cade" and then the radio cut off. (he got eaten by a titan) i was left alone in an eclipse. so anyways i almost immediately left the moon

Even in-game, I find this song peaceful and honestly somewhat comforting, which I also find strange... I just love the sound design, whoever made this track absolutely nailed it lol. Definitely my favorite of the soundtrack so far.

"The crew and I had to land in an eclipse, colloquially known as a 'Red Dawn,' earning its name from the dark orange colored skies, nearly blood red. We had to land there due to a limited number of options. We're about 243 off from quota as I write this. It was the monsters, or finding out what disciplinary action meant. We aren't sure what eclipses are like on exomoons, but we know back on Earth, eclipses completely change how animals act. We've seen the monsters on these moons, the eldricth monsters lurking around every corner, hunting their prey... us. This might be my last log... and if this ship was passed down to you... make sure whatever is behind the wall at the company building doesn't get out. Darius, signing off."

The distortion snares are incredible addition to the creepiness.

When you hear the first 5 seconds of this track and realize you had landed on an eclipsed moon and ask your friends: Guys is this eclipse? Only to be cut off by a dog lunging at you.

This and Red Soil from Super Metroid are just perfect ambient-terror music for when you know you’re in deep.

This sound track is my favorite, great at giving an eerie and abandoned vibe.

I've never though about it until now, but the decision to add paid moons was actually genius, you're gonna probably stay on them for the whole quota to make your money's worth, which means that if there's an eclipse, you can't just route to another moon without consequences, you're forced to endure the terrifying experience that is an eclipsed T3 moon.

Thank you for uploading this! I honestly rarely go to eclipsed moons because they're such a massive, massive risk! But I noticed hearing this track whenever I did go to an eclipsed moon and just fell in love with the creepy atmosphere of it. It's strangely beautiful, peaceful, yet foreboding. Thanks to you, I loop this track every time I play a session of LC now. It keeps me immersed and feeling calm, yet on edge. It really helps build the perfect atmosphere!

I have no clue for the more rumbly sounds that start and stop, but the high pitched drone in the background sounds like a piano with a reverb effect that has _all_ the dry audio silenced and is _only_ the reverb, possibly with the more stabby transients of piano keys cut out as well

Nothing makes you anxious more than hearing this ecplise ambience without checking the weather and all of your friends are dead

it's so perfect. it's so eerie and hauntingly beautiful.... it always feels like there is something lurking in the shadows. and this Ost really makes you feel like you're on the brink of being devoured by a dog or being hunted down by a giant.... we need more Ost like this one because it's just so perfectly beautiful.

I remember going to an eclipsed moon for the first time with my friend, ordering a torch, and the ice cream theme from the drop pod attracting a blind dog that killed us both
