Like this video with Eckhart, you should think about teaming up with don Miguel Ruiz (Four Agreements, Mastery of Love, Voice of Knowledge). I'm glad you made this video,I can recall when I was homeless, lost my only daughter; lost my car; my husband is bedridden, im his caretaker and raising my daughters 3 young children. no support system, no state help and faced with many things in Life until $75,000 biweekly began rolling in and my Life went from A homeless nobody to a different person with good things to offer!!!!!❤️

Practicing the Power of Now is a short strong book that has more exercises in it. Stillness Speaks is perhaps my favorite Eckhart Tolle book, short, sweet and powerful.

You work 8 hours to live 4. You work 5 days to enjoy 2. You work 8 hours to eat in 15 minutes. You work 8 hours to sleep 6 You work all year just to take a week or two vacation. You work all your life to retire in old age. And watch only your last breaths. Eventually, you realize that life is nothing but a parody of yourself practicing your own oblivion. We have become so accustomed to material and social slavery that we no longer see the chains. Life is a short trip, Live it up.

I disagree with your premise. We work 8 hours to work 8 hours. We can stop if we don't like it, but as Eckhart says, we should stay present whilst we do it rather than waiting for the better hour

Manipulation of emotions is evil

I was a stay at Home mom with no money in my IRA or any savings of my own, which was scary at 53 years of age. Three years ago I got a part time job and save everything I make. Those who are very hungry for money and success will never understand what Eckhart is talking about. They will just interpret the words that he speaks with their own opinion and ideas. As Jesus said, 'It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.' Maybe, they will only begin to understand what hes saying when disasters strike them so hard and their so-called 'riches' start to disappear OR when they truly realize that their so-called success is empty, pointless and meaningless. Of course, theres no guarantee that they will realize the 'essense' of Eckhart's teaching but the possibility is so huge and strong. Maybe, the seed is already planted within them. It will inevitably blossom if they water it with 'Presence' every moment. But, you cannot serve two masters at the same time. It's impossible. Either you serve the Truth or you serve Ignorance. You cannot serve Truth while serving Ignorance.

Just sounds like all regurgitation no originality Eckhart is “renowned” for his vagueness. He’s the uncle at the cookout that can make a legit nonsensical comment and people would swear that he’s just that “profound” 😂.. I just could never really get into his books and “lectures” I’ve learned more about spirituality from talking to this Caribbean homeless woman in manhattan, in the first five minutes of having a conversation, than I’ve learned in this whole lecture.. felt like falling asleep to be real.. This just shows that because someone has “proven” themselves to be successful doesn’t mean that they should be a spiritual teacher.

At one point I was seeking guidance and I agree that Eckhart's description was pretty difficult to understand here, not sure I would have been able to follow it based on this video. Some of his others videos seem more cohesive yet there's lots of teachers in the world...keep doing you!

If you are identifying with a homeless woman more than this man, then that tells me you need to find a spirit filled church. If you Google it, I'm sure several options will pop up for you in your area. After attending there a while, more of what this man says will resonate with you, although there is only one door....Jesus.
