I thought CrossFit was supposed to be a variety of fitness? 6 heavy lifting events yeah you had to be able to do other things during them but heavy lifting dominated these events. 1 Gymnastics event 2 actual CrossFit type workouts 3 endurance workouts Whether this was rigged for an athlete or not which is funny because I didn’t even say anything and someone non biased said did they make these events just for her while watching. Either way I wouldn’t call this a balanced test.

They HAVE 'CrossFit Barbie' right there... she won this heat. Her name's Katrin Davidsdottier and she's a recent former multiple winner of the games. She proves a female athlete can be gorgeous, feminine-looking, physically powerful, tough as nails, intelligent and inspirational - all at the same time!! Again, congratulations to Laura for winning the title 'Fittest Woman on Earth." Her Olympic lifts were absolutely stunning!! Wow!! This event, plus the Olympic lifts (NOT done for time - this time!! :) ) were my favorites! The air assault bike is my favorite type of cardio because it IS such a bitch... ... But it appears as though CrossFit WANTS to enforce STRICTER FORM for their athletes, and that's great to see!!

@@anyadeering No, I didn't miss the point. This extremely powerful and fit woman, Laura, was not expecting the announcer to ask her what advice she had for teens and young girls. Laura immediately thought of the Barbie movie... it was the first thing she mentioned. And she responded by saying, "That Barbie movie... ! I don't want to look like Barbie! I want to move things from point A to point B!" She simply meant her objective had been to be powerful and tough - not necessarily a "fragile-looking" beauty queen. My only point, in response to that statement, was you can be gorgeous, powerful, strong, tough, slender, muscular and ripped all at the same time. Sometimes you don't have to pick and choose - depending on the sport, fitness endeavor, the woman, her age, etc...

“She proves a female athlete can be gorgeous, feminine-looking” 😂 yes if you say that you definitely miss the point. You think your comment is empowering woman, it definitely is not😂 No one ever says “this dude athletes proves male athletes can be gorgeous and good looking”. When you are an athlete what you want is to be fit, who gives a damn if you look good or if you still fit the female stereotypes? Only add unnecessary burdens on women. Wake up from the illusion

BOTH of these gifted athletes deserve the highest respect for the kind of strength and conditioning this sport requires at the top level!!
