My Alexa just responded and told me how to say happy birthday in Spanish. LOL

Can the clock on the home screen be relocated on the show 8 3rd generation? In the 2nd gen it seems to be docked in the lower left corner and is blocked by my bed but i can see the top and bottom right corners but can not move the clock to those positions

I can get into the widget gallery, but I don't see how to remove a widget

Does this work in landscape mode for a full screen experience?

Hands down the best review I've seen yet. Do you know if you can use hotspot from an android phone on the new Echo 8 3rd gen? I don't have a WIFI router.

Mine doesn't work with my t-mobile unlimited 5g internet at which works on cellular, it sucks

If would like to use Radioplayer app, and would like echo show to switch radio/app off after... let's say 2 hours, is that possible? E.g. I am going to bed and want radio to be on for an hour and then self off.

Hi! Yes you can set music apps on a timer or set times to turn on and off. But not sure for radioplayer. Will try it out and report back.

Can you please explain how your able to call someone else in another state who has the same exact device. Please i would appreciate it.

Wondering if they fixed the bluetooth problem. I bought this to upgrade from my 1st generation but the bluetooth wouldn't connect to my various bluetooth speakers/earbuds. I sent it back.

I am looking at getting an echo 8 show for my elderly parents so they can watch their ring camera. They are not tech savvy. Is it worth it to pay the extra for the 3rd generation or do you believe the 2nd would be just as good for that purpose?

Hi! The auto camera tracking is better on the new echo show 8 3rd gen. So it makes seeing them on video call easier. Except for that, the experience is very similar and simpler.

Hi! It depends on the budget but I prefer the echo 8 (2nd Gen) over the echo 5 (3rd gen)... Larger screen, better camera with tracking, music will still be bigger on echo show 8 2nd Gen as well.

Mines having an issue connecting to my home 5g internet

I bought the echo 5 on prime day for $40 and loved it right away but it was too small for use in my kitchen so i decided to get an echo 8 and because it's on sale right now at target for $54 (2nd gen) i had to jump on it. Oddly enough, i find the echo 5 has better features like various clock displays and night mode turns the clock face to a dim red whereas the echo 8 is a dim grey in the lower left corner with a big black screen....i just found it odd that they wouldn't put the bigger screen to good use...well, at least it's suitable for the kitchen. The echo 5 now lives in my bedroom... overall I like them both but I've only had the echo 8 for 2 days and it hasn't impressed me as much as the echo 5 did on day 1... in fact, during its tips and suggestions screen it displayed Freevee, and said to try "show me Freevee"... And it kept giving me the definition for "freebie"....why even have Freevee as a suggestion when it can't even distinguish a V from a B?...it got frustrating after 3 tries and I gave up....the echo 5 has yet to get confused with pronunciations.

You Pointed to what you Stated as CHARGERS?? Instead of having The Usual Typical Power Supply YET Without mention Of the SHOW Being On The Go Anywhere =Mobile Rechargeable Portable? But having a Charger instead of just a Standard Transformer Hint to be as Such? Yes? N0?

That’s why I got the 2nd generation There just isn’t any type of big upgrades to justify spending more money on the 3rd generation
