Too many games and too little time. I'll get the Ka50 for sure. I'll kile more than ever in DCS.

What surprises me is that irl this helicopter empty weighs only about 3 tons

Both the Stingers and Igla's outrange the Mistrals in both all aspect, and rear aspect lockon, are the same speed, and have the same G limits, the Mistral is 3rd best for heli mounted AAMs.

On the other hand it takes much more flares to stop the mistral hitting the target, that is why I said it is arguably the best.

The stingers underperform rn they can totally fly by their target in short range engagements as I use them for long range hoping for a crit but that’s just what I have found I think the Iglas may be statistically better but idk

Was this review made before Ka-50 was added to the game :D ?

Try the french H-34 in heli battles to come up with some valid strats for the current game

I have tried it, and did not like it, which is why i think it should go to 8.0, and heli battles should get a match maker.

I am considering buying this heli, so I took it for a test drive. in your video you use thermal vision, however in test drive I see no keybind for it. I put on hold my purches until I get this right, as TWS is why I am considering Tiger in the first place.

I know why... when test driving non purchased premiums they are in a stock config, that means that the NVD modification is not installed.

Thanks for this awesome video. Being an Aussie I am particularly interested in this beast. I’m hoping you don’t mind answering a couple of my noob questions. I’m a rank 4 tank and aircraft player but I’m new to to helicopters. 1. Does the gunner lock into targets with cannon like gunners in aircraft? 2. What single player maps can I use helis in? I enjoy ‘operation’ type aircraft maps it would be great to fly helis is similar. Thanks in advance mate.

First answer, no, the gunner will not automatically lock onto targets, this is something you will have to do yourself. Second answer, I assume you mean custom missions? If that is the case then you can take helicopters into any ground forces map, you will just need bots of tier 6-7 to allow for the helipads to spawn. Hopefully those answers help somewhat :)

BaconGaming can I jump in and ask some more Q please mate? I’m tossing up between this beast and the G Lynx and am hoping you can help with my decision; Q = what is the added benefit of the chin cannon on Tiger? If no AI gunner then you have to enter sight to use cannon, I don’t find it very useful. How do you use it? Can you aim using VR goggles, maybe then it would be useful. G Lynx nice and easy to use mini gun or cannon that it fixed to front. Keen to know your thoughts. Cheers

Well the gun on the Tiger can be used in third person view and locked onto target, when locked it will lead any target within 2-3km and all you need to do is fire, this is very useful against enemy helicopters. The Tiger also has MAW (Missile Approach Warning), this system will give you a warning when any SAM, AAM or ATGM is coming towards your helicopter. Finally the Tiger uses the Mistral air to air missiles, which are better than the Stinger missiles used by the Lynx in my opinion. Both G-LYNX and the Tiger are good, but personally i would go with the tiger due to those three reasons. Hopefully that helps :)

BaconGaming sorry to keep bothering you mate, I’m hoping you don’t mind answering one more Q. I took the plunge and have got the AH1G as I’m keen on older war maps but like the chin turret. Can you tell me how I lock the chin turret onto targets please? Currently I have to go to gunner view then use mouse to manually aim. Surely there’s a better way yeah? Thanks in advance for you help 🤪

Why the HAP is at 10.0 and the G-lynx is 9.7 ??? The HAP is a little bit more agile but the G-Lynx is a little bit faster, the HAP has also a 30 mm cannon but he hasn’t got Hellfire (Hot 3 are slower and have a range of 4.3 km against 8 for the Hellfire) and both helicopters have the same amount of AAM and ATGM !

Hellfires are worse than the HOT 3 s IMO, the way hellfires are modelled in game makes them horrible to use as the top down often misses for no apparent reason and personally i take out the TOW 2s on my glynx, and the mistrals are just straight up better than stingers

It is not known yet if prem version would have thermal vision. High probably not. So this would be kinda big disadvantage, imho.

yet no one claimed that this broke the game, but everyone cried barrels of tears when KA-50 got introduced. (WITH NURFED LOADOUTS)

Actually people do complain, especially in helicopter battles, just go into a single match and you will see the salt.

The German EC-665 Tiger comes with “Pars 3” agtm which is fire and forget and makes the German EC better than this French premium

its almost impossible leading atgm on helis when you have 90 ping.

@@yasaipicles6295 you cannot reset the firing box as it is a fixed position, the missile must be fired within that area so it can get under control after being launched, once it is going you can guide it outside of the box.

A better solution would be to have 2 modes, one for helis with missiles and the other for helis without.

amazing how they nerfed the ah-1z flight model, then give this a highly unrealistic flight model. 4:15 is a impossible manuever for helis to do.

@@enzoblanchard2076 1. you already can with hellfires 2. sadly tanks turn invisible at around 6.5 - 7.0 km so atm missiles are useless on that range . . . hope they fix that

На май 2022, для совместных танковых боев, абсолютно бесполезен. Время жизни 25-30 секунд после взлета. На ближних респах, сбивают зенитки, на дальных респах, сбивают самолеты. За 80 совместных боев на нем, уничтожил только 2 танка и один вертолет. Попаданий по танкам не считал (за бой, если не сбили, 2-3 попадания с нулевым эффектом) Годен только для отсутствующих вертолетных боев. Если кто думает покупать, советую не брать, так как радости от боя не будет.
