I hope you will decide to bring in more 26” kits when you import the 20”. A 25% increase on the wholesale cost would not stop me from buying a second 26” kit.

Good video! I am buying a container of ebikes from a manufacturer in China (for a relative who sells bikes), and I am having him invoice and ship the batteries separately in a smaller pallet to minimize impact of higher wholesale tariffs. You may need to get creative like this, also.

I like the double displays.. I also like the double mirrors.. I know some people like putting a mirror only on one side of the bike but I like symmetry..

Installed my kit on the Kepler this weekend. About 100 miles on it so far. It definitely works just like you said. The steep hills I commute on where I would slow to 16 mph wide open, now I can go as fast as I want. Top end increased a few mph, but not a lot. I would definitely do it again. I will probably never be able to ride a single motor bike again!

Been looking at the wired freedom also unfortunately they’re not gonna be available until mid to late July which here in the northwest will eat up most of the good writing season. So I’m hesitant to buy one right now.

Cool looking set up. Think I'd like a 24" direct drive with 26" air forks, on a 20" fat tire folder & separate battery, controls & throttle. Then have the motor in neutral mainly coasting, forward for acceleration & hills, then have a Regen throttle to charge the front battery & use to brake to save brake pads. Is that possible you think?

yes on front motor 20". Needs to be DD with regen, and front wheel spin has to be controlled. You need to demo how to control it instead of demoing donuts. Once you commit to dual motors you are giving up light weight, and heavier DD motor is non issue for the extreme benefit of regen.

Unfortunately the front motor kit does not work with the through axle of the new wired bikes. you'd have to swap the forks to the old kind

The goal was to prevent China from flooding the market with cheap products that could endanger domestic manufacturers. the Office of the United States Trade Representative said that e-bike batteries imported from China would be subject to 25 percent tariffs starting in 2026, up from 7.5 percent. E-bikes and their components imported from China have been subject to 25 percent tariffs since the Trump administration, but US trade officials have used exclusions to keep those levies from kicking in. Now, those exclusions are set to expire on June 14th, according to Bicycle Retailer. Some products, like bike trailers and helmets that are made in China, will still be excluded. But e-bikes, some youth bikes, and other components will now be subject to the 25 percent levy. And that is going to have a major impact on the affordability of e-bikes in the US.

f the tariffs too bad you can't buy from a company that knows how to sneak around them haha. i think there's still a way around the tariffs if they lower the declared value of the ebike below $800

I do not have a e-bike. For the last 3 weeks I have been searching for my very first one. After seeing all these videos about tariffs I am walking away. Cheaper for me to just go buy another motorcycle.

Tariffs do nothing for the working man but keep prices high for the lazy wealthy man.

The 25% did NOT raise prices. The 2018 era 25% tariff ended on June14, the new 25% one is same percentage, and simply REPLACES IT.

Wait a minute, are you absolutely sure that your parts are getting a tariff. It was my understanding that it was Chinese bikes, bikes that we’re getting a tariff. Think you should check into that. I just checked the 25% Terrace on e-bikes and e-bike parts has been in place since the trump administration Biden is just continuing them so there should be no increase in price to what you’ve been quoted because the tariff is already in place when you place your order, don’t let them double charge you
