Thank you! It’s really not hard to do, it just takes patience. I will say that making it into a video, made it take about four times longer. Lol. The rest of the lots will go much faster.

Happy that you found it helpful Denise! Do you know that it’s not available on every type of listing and never end and sell similar as it will replace the inventory back to the original inventory.

It’s not really that hard, but it does take undivided attention and patience. It took me four times longer to make this video at the same time as listing. The next several lots shouldn’t take much time at all. Thank you, Maggie!

Thanks for this detailed video. Have you had any problems when you’ve needed to refresh the variation listing by selling similar? I had some variation listings but they got all messed up when I did the sell similar process. My understanding is that needs to be done at 90 days. If that’s the case it seems like a lot of work to waste. Hoping there is a work around. Thanks!!

Never ever refresh a listing that has variations! It will add back the original inventory. This is true with any listing that has quantities in the listing. I never ever end and sell similar these types of listings. Hope this helps and thank you! Of course another great video--very helpful. I believe you made another, similar, quite a while ago that I relied on to make my first variation listing. They sure don't make it easy or intuitive with the odd naming of "attributes" and "options". Who would know what the heck they were talking about?! And adding the pics? Anyway, it did remind me that I have a couple of questions about variation listings: Let's say that next week you find more of these patterns, can you add them to your existing listings? Can you edit to change the lead photo (or any other, for that matter). I had six items in my variation listing and 5 had sold. I thought the lead photo was then rather misleading/disappointing for buyers but I was afraid to mess with it. Someone already asked about the sell similar issue. That sure could be troublesome if one didn't have your answer. Thanks for all.

Hi Lynn, yes, you can add to the options. You can also resort them as I showed you can also delete them. As to the do not end to sell similar, I’ve talked about this in prior videos about refreshing eBay listings (don’t do it with listings that have quantities are variations) but of course there’s always new people. I wish I had remembered to say something in this video, but I didn’t think about it. I hope people read the comments. Thank you!

12:53 You say I can't use phone to take pictures, I have to use desktop or laptop and then you displayed apps for photos, how do I get the photo from my tablet to the laptop so the pictures can be added to the listing? My laptop doesn't take photos so there must be some way to transfer them over?

I didn’t say you couldn’t use your phone to take the photos. I said you couldn’t use your phone to set up a variation listing. We use our phones to take all of our photos. You have to have the right cord to connect your phone to a USB for your laptop. I think it’s called a lightning adapter. Or, a Sandisk drive to save them to from your iPad and then use the USB side to plug into your laptop. Hope that helps. Have you opened up your eBay app on your tablet to see if you can find the variation list when you’re setting up the listing? If so, you would be able to insert the photos from your tablet. You just can’t set up a variation listing just from your phone.

@@AvanteAvenue I was able to open the eBay app on my tablet and open the listing I started for the variation, but the spot I should be able to click to go in to add individual pics for the individual listings in the variation isn't there to see. So, I'm guessing that means I must have to find a way to access the photo from the computer side. Is that what the apps are for that you told us about needing, in your video? Maybe I need to install an app to put the photos in (to the tablet), to access them? (I'm thrilled my charge cord, minus the charge part at the end that goes into the wall outlet, lets me access the tablet from the laptop) This is so close, it is really exciting. For a non-tech person you've been a great help

@pamelawilliams2017 after you’ve added the primary attribute and variations when you go to the next step, the default photo is your lead photo where I put my sign sold individually select option and then go down just a little bit where it says on the left side add variation, photos and open that box instead of choosing use default photos choose the exact name that you set up for each variation. That’s where you add the individual photos for each variation. One more tip, when you are putting in the prices for each variation under the UPC, you do have to choose does not apply. If you don’t choose does not apply it won’t accept your variations.

@@AvanteAvenue wow what a learning time. First, thank you again for your guidance step by step. I was able to get some photos downloaded for one of my variation listings, it wouldn't let me do more than one picture at a time, I think you did several at once, so I have more bugs to work out of this end but at least some pictures were downloaded and in the proper place. When I crop to make them larger, it says photo troubles with red ! so have to figure that out. Again, thank you!! We may get this whipped yet. :)
