I started reselling YESTERDAY!! My first purchase/sale was a Leather Callaway cart bag. I bought it at goodwill for $15, and sold it within a few hours for $150!! Can definitely say I'm hooked on reselling as a part time side hustle/hobby/!

Perks about doing this: you do it when you want. It may not be a lot of money but you still are making money when YOU want to. :) (THANK U ALL FOR THE LIKES! My mom started buying storage units and making money doing that, I no longer sell on eBay and other platforms, I did work for a ups store and learned some great things.. some of my coworkers actually sold on eBay and stuff also.. I quit and started working for Amazon delivering packages.. would definitely like to sell stuff again.. it’s so much fun.. but the money I made didn’t really go to much.. I live with my mother and four other brothers.. money made just went to food and reinvesting back into higher purchases to resale.. I wish u all luck! :-))

Here is an idea for all the reseller wanna be's. I was a reseller for over 20 years. It was a fun hobby for me as I had a full time job. I had an easy office job that allowed me to come and go as I pleased so I could even shop and package/mail items while "at work." I thoroughly enjoyed it for years. Then ebay got flooded with professional store owners and the competition got really tough. Plus ebay and paypal raised their fees. Now reselling is tough. It's way harder than most jobs IMO. There are many resellers doing very well but the average reseller is lucky to break even. My idea for you is to get rid of your junk and turn your storage space into an airbnb. That is what I did and I make 4X what I was making reselling with very little investment of time and money.

There's a difference between ebay items that are selling for $15 and ebay items that have an opening bid of $15. Just because the seller thinks it will sell for that much doesn't mean it will. Pay attention to the number of bidders on items. The more bids there are on an item, the more interest there is and the better chance you will sell it for what you want, if not more.

Big thing to remember when you're looking on Ebay to research items, be SURE to look into COMPLETED auctions. Yea, they are up for sale at a certain price, but are they REALLY selling for that? I saw a few items you got to sell, that there is NO way you're going to get what you think you will. Trust me, I've been buying and selling on Ebay for over 20 years and have probably sold or tried to sell just about everything they would let me sell on there..lol.

True that. I have seen items that are ridiculously priced on eBay and Amazon both. How much you list for isn't necessary what people are willing to pay for it.

Agree. Easy to learn that the hard way. What things are listed for may not be close to what they actually sell for so always check the "sold" link to see if any are actually selling. I sell rare guitars and currently there are listings from Japan all over ebay asking 3 times what most actually go for. That can really throw off a noob seller as well as a buyer. From what I am told the sellers do not even have the instruments. They just hope for a sucker, then they purchase it if they can and transship it to the sucker.

What many people think is that the same strategy works for everyone. You have to find what your market has that is a good flip. I used to go to this video game store because they would price their new games the same as old and I'd focus on older consoles and try to find games that people were collecting sealed new. I also flipped antique cameras that the margins were a lot higher, but finding the right deals took a while. My rule of thumb is to flip items that can go first class if its a small profit. Less than $10. For that profit, I want it to be just dropped in an envelope and shipped. If I'm making $20+ I will mess with bubbles and boxes to package something heavy/fragile up.

I am not into fashion at all 😑 looking to make about $600 a week so that I can take care of my 87 year old loving dad- going to binge watch your videos! LOVED IT!!!!

prior to shipping what do you do with the Ross price tag? They make a mess when you try to pull them off.

What do you do to prepare the products to ship out once they sell on Ebay? (ie: the very sticky sales store sale tag)

When you buy the stuff and sell it on eBay, do you take off the Ross sticker? Like where it has the price you paid for. Or do you leave it on? Also for shipping, do you ship in a bubble mailer you buy from Amazon or smth or a usps flat rate one?

I love the sour grapes comments😉❤️ This works folks! It does take work and effort but its a great little money maker if given a chance. 100% of a $5 profit is better than 0% of nothing

Good video on what NOT to do. Buying something for $10 profit is not worth it if you have limited capital or are tying to go full time. You can find items to sell at these stores but for the time invested in listing, inventory, and shipping I wouldn't source these. I recommend learning what sells and going to thrift stores first.

Eh. It’s good beginner practice. Profit might be low but you’re getting a free education. The better you get at these things the more cost effective your time spent is. And you can’t get better without repetition.

David P. We sell on eBay full time. It is our living. We know we pay out less than 13% for their services, it’s called the cost of doing business. We should still make well over $100, we don’t ship free.

IRIE4IPIER 😂😂. People like you are hilarious. You don’t have a “real” life and are miserable so you come into things like KZread where you can be anonymous and try to make other miserable. We hope your life gets better and you start seeing the positive things. Oh and by the way we sold the Under Armor underwear that we bought for $6.99 and got $25 plus shipping. So yeah we are doing terrible. 😆
