You guys are long overdue for another run of aluminum D-port heads. With all the cracked factory iron heads there's going to be demand. Take a poll on Turboford to gauge interest.
Wow, nice tour! I might still have a catalog from about 50 years ago with the 'Pinto Beans' drag buggy on the cover. Really good to see Esslinger is still around and building some incredible engines.
I been dreaming of an esslinger head for my 2.3 turbo swapped 73 capri for a while now. Keep up the great work!
Very impressive!
Bring back the aluminum 2.3 heads pleeeeeease !
We need more 2.3 lima heads...

My brother and I have 3 modded 2.3 lima powered cars, 2 have turbos, and sad to see what little Esslinger now sells for that engine.
What a fun tour! Looks like you really do stuff right in that shop!
Thanks for the very detailed information. What a great place to work.
Thanks for the tour.
I saw the "EB Takeover" title and thought you had been bought out by another company, sorry for my jumping to conclusions. Back when I was drag racing, I used many of your parts in my bracket 2.3 Pinto, good stuff and won my share of trophies at the track. Good old days! Thanks for the tour!
Thanks Brian great video!
a 2.3l Esslinger Engine is my dream engine
Nice shop tour!
Great video ! I raced 4 cyl mini stocks in Rockford Ill for several years. It was neat to see how much things have changed. The only real race parts we could find in the early 80s were camshafts and variable valve timing parts from Racer Walsh in Fla. How many of the Chili bowl engines are Ford ? Are any of them running the old 2.3Mustang/Pinto motors ?
ALWAYS house your air compressor in your neighbors garage !!
I love the fact you can create your own billet engine blocks. I bet you guys could build a better Vega four-cylinder!
Great video, great shop, legendary name doing great work! Pretty cool to see that guys known for building lil ol 2v 4-bangers are now building Lambo V10s too LOL. I've dreamed for a long time of dropping one of their tall deck SOHCs with a nice big turbo into a Fox body gutted within an inch of its life, add ALL the lightness, and seeing how quick you could really get it going in the 1/4(7s?)... just dreams for now though. At EB - you guys should get ahold of Paul Kane at High Flow Dynamics and see if he would be interested in doing one of these vids. He's THE go-to guy for stock block BBFs, getting absurd amounts of power out of them, would be a good one!

Thanks for the comment and the lead on Paul Kane. We will look into that!
Esslinger is awesome. I have to shout out Justin Brasil for getting in the 8s with the mzr 2.3
Esslinger engineering people have lots of history in engine rebuilding racing world. Sorry to hear some government could deem them unessential.. I'm happy to hear they are back 🇺🇸 👍🌎🏁🏎️🚗 Joey ⚓
Best of the Best go fast goodies
These guys have been a "GoTo" for decades.
Need a run of tall deck blocks.
I’ve been wondering over the last year or so whether it would be possible to convert the second set of spark plugs on a 2.3 L engine to be used for a direct fuel injection. I understand that Esslinger is going for power, but I’ve been wondering what the potential application for fuel mileage might be.

4 post engine stand is pretty cool
Awesome video, I could watch your videos all day, it’s definitely made me think twice about engine choice and keeping it ford, do you guys make them here in nz or are they all made in USA then shipped out hence why there’s an engine there for ozzy, it’s pretty amazing how and what you guys can do to an engine including making your own blocks and heads

Esslinger does its engine work in the US and can ship internationally. Thanks for the comment.
Does anyone make a Foxbody swap kit for 2.3 Ecoboost? Id love to put one in my Fairmont but dont have a bunch of fabricating knowledge..
One day my ranger will get the engine it deserves somehow it's gonna be crazy
billet block 4 what actual motor is that?

Did he say a thousand hp ecoboost late spring...?
I need an intake for a 1994 ford ranger 2.3l 4 cyl.
Mini stocks in the south rules need to allow aluminum stuff like blocks and heads...the old iron engines are getting hard to come by and soon gonna be unavailable
I can only wonder how many tricks this guy has up his sleeve
the K in shane knite is silent
Time to have a revolt. Get out of cal.and turn your phone side ways.
I have a running 2.3 stock single overhead cam engine 1993 ford ranger.
leave commifornia
So sad this was going on a year ago! Criminal.
Why bother!
Just leave Cali. Everyone else is.
Get out of California!
I would like a type of starter kit so to speak for a stock engine block maybe a cam lifter intake carburetor setup or recommendations for a mild build
Need to move out of California like elderbrock did
