Eaton supercharger swaps are a great way to add additional horsepower to your 03/04 Mach 1, 99/01 Cobra, and Mercury Marauders. In this video I go over the parts you will need for the Eaton swap and recommendations that will help make the swap much easier.

    @@MikesGarageRoute66 i just know how frustrating it can be when you're looking for info. and someone only gives part of it. You're being pretty thorough with this. All the Mustangs I've had, and all the parts I've had apart or replaced and didn't create video and wish I had.

    Great info Mike. I got an 03 mach 1 bulit 03/07 and it has 19000 miles on it. Black on black Mach.

    @@MikesGarageRoute66 yeah she always in the garage but I do drive it. It sat probably 15 years in my father in law collection. We got a 96 mystic to which is my sister in laws has 8000 miles it. I have a has slew of mustang's from 89 90 91 94 92 98 and a 99. So I've been very lucky I know this.

    @@MikesGarageRoute66well the first one I bought was 91 LX 5.0 on my 18th birthday. Had lot fun with that car. My 99 gt was super charged and a was done with every part done from suspension 6 speed wheel's K member. Bulit the motor in it and when finished it was dyno and put out 790 rear wheel hp. 820tq. Going to star doing stuff to Mach going to super charge and suspension and wheels. Going to change rod and pistons and cams.

    @@MikesGarageRoute66 never dyno it. Ran a 12.1 the only track pass I had on it. Stock pulley setup

    Thanks for doing this Mike. I’m piecing mine together slowly. I’m hung up on what I should do for the intercooler setup now that Vmp came out with an upgraded 03/04 cobra intercooler. I believe cobra engineering makes a nice water manifold for it too. 1” lines. Just not sure if this is a good idea or is overkill for my setup. Your intercooler stuff all 1/2” ?

    The upgraded ones are really nice. It depends on the price. If you are going stockish boost the oem is fine. Thank you for watching.

    Great video Mike. My friend has a ZY Mach 1 and said he had an eaton swap and was going to swap it on And wanted some help. I asked him if he had all the parts. This video will be great for him. Great information. Great video. I don’t think I would have added the oil cooler. Any real reason you chose to keep that part of the swap?

    Hey Mike can you show how you routed the hose from power steering pump to get it away from the alternator. Or what you used also?

    I used the stock lines but had to really bend it. Also be careful with the alternator power wire so it doesn't come close to touching the alternator case. It could burn the car down so just watch for that.

    You would need forged rods and pistons. Unfortunately in stock form, it will grenade.

    How necessary is the Cobra tank if I can get a hold of the Cobra hat with the 2 fuel pumps? Would they even fit a Mach 1 tank?

    You really want to get a Cobra tank because of the built in baffles. ON3 makes a reproduction tank if you need one.

    Hi Sky I used ones for a Mach 1, but a manual Mach 1 and a Cobra use the same radiator.

    Great question. The answer is no because the 99/01 Cobras have different heads. If I had a 99 Cobra I would buy the Kenne Bell 2.1 kit. It would be the best package for you. Thank you again for watching!

    You can always do a Centrifugal Supercharger. That may be the best option.

    @@MikesGarageRoute66 I have the S / C, intake, plenum, bridge, and elbow I found a timing cover, for 300.00 I’m ready to sell it and wait for a complete setup or go with a turbo

    @@djtommyboypro I’d stay away from turbo on these. The lower end is only so strong and your really won’t take advantage of the turbo. I’ve seen people grenade their stock 4.6 with 425 to the wheels.

    @@MikesGarageRoute66 turbo is easier, cheaper, more efficient and doesn’t stress the engine as much as a positive displacement supercharger. The instant boost from an Eaton will tear through these non forged mod engines where as the turbo will ease into it. Plus, you’ll get the same power with a few pounds less of boost
