at 13:03 it nice to know that the curry vending machine (the red vending machine) is still up and running, the old man who makes the curry for the vending machines got featured on the channel "Great Big Story", title of the video is "A Homemade Meal . . . From a Vending Machine".

Edit : I'm just a fan of those kind of old fashion vending machines(and read some book about it) (2023/01/22) Just in case if anyone wondering , the chazuke , udon and soba are not instant food , but freshly cooked at the spot.(The raw noodle was prepared in bowl , and the machine will cook it with boiling water when customer ordered , than drain the noodle and add soup into the bowl.) (For chazuke , the rice is surely pre-cooked , but just refrigerated , instead of frozen-dryed.) (Those machine has to be refilled at least once daily. For freshness.) 5:12 It's indeed used to be a genuine dry batteries vending machine back in it's glory days, but now used to sell candy. 5:33 I personally won't recommend try this one....since it's just normal "ready food" type of curry pack. 13:14 The normal instant soup , TBH....But the machine is super rare , so could give it a try. 14:19 Microwave foods. 19:14 Indeed toasted on the spot.(The tin foil pack also serves as cooking vessels.)

The way some of the vending machines look old/aged yet work perfectly fine, feels... *supernatural* in some way. Like the machines aren't maintained by people who come by every day. They just continue to work and replenish their stock somehow, and that's why they're all gathered here.

We have them. They're called food trucks! Actually, there are a few interesting vending machines scattered throughout the US. The salt lake city baggage claim terminal C area has a couple of machines that dispense hot food. One even custom makes and cooks individual pizzas and the one I ate was actually tasty. I was grateful after a delayed flight that arrived too late for delivery or room service at my hotel with nothing else open in the airport. I think these would be a huge success in college dormitories if someone had the capital to order 50 machines, design and order the food items needed to set them up and pay a couple of people to service them once each week. I can see students paying $10 for an individual pizza or bowl of fresh ramen.
@B_Bodziak
Жыл бұрын
@@jessicabecause3717 I think cooks will be the one group of restaurant workers that won't be fully automated. Within the next decade, we're going to see most industries lose jobs to automation. Some factories are already fully automated with only a tech person on site. All new construction on apartment/condo buildings in some cities must now include the technology to accommodate automated deliveries that can leave a packing location on a truck and arrive at the apartment building without a human being involved at all. It won't be long before long haul truck drivers are obsolete.
