EAT THIS To Starve Cancer & Prevent Disease TODAY! | Dr. William Li & Mark Hyman

Get my top tips for optimal health and vitality: bit.ly/MarksPicks
I never get tired of saying it: real food heals. Food has the power to prevent and reverse disease, and the more we know about it, the more power we have to curate a targeted diet to help us reach our health goals. The catch is that we have to choose the right foods, the ones that elevate us, and simultaneously ditch the poor-quality ones that harm us. There are powerful compounds in foods-like curcumin, genistein, catechins, lycopene, resveratrol, quercetin-that have medicinal impacts on the body. That’s why I call the grocery store the drug store; we can literally eat our medicine at every meal.
My guest this week on The Doctor’s Farmacy, Dr. William Li, is here to tell us all about eating to beat disease and making the idea that food is medicine second nature. You may also be surprised to find out that angiogenesis, or how the body forms blood vessels, is a common denominator in creating optimal health. William Li, MD, is a world-renowned physician, scientist, speaker, and author of Eat to Beat Disease: The New Science of How Your Body Can Heal Itself. He is best known for leading the Angiogenesis Foundation.

Hello, I really enjoyed listening to you 2 today. I really like Dr. Li, Awesome interview! Applauding you both and how you guy's are learning all the research about foods that heal! I am confident that you both would enjoy and learn lot's from Professor Thomas Seyfried about Cancer! An interview with him would be a serious eye opener to say the least. Or obtain some of books and explore his research on Cancer. Today is the first time I've tapped into your program. I've saved you to my watch list to explore more! My health took a nose dive in my late 20's. I had achieved an Associate's degree in Drafting/Acad, worked some in the field. But when my WBC escalated to 28,000 and because the medical field couldn't figure it out I reached out to Natural Health. Though neither could we ever learn the cause (which is always key) we were able to learn how I could manage it. Which has been helpful! As long as I use this 1 herbal. I'm 60 now, and still search for my key answer! Unknown cause and unknown cure (as the med field states) just doesn't sit well with me. I always add at the end of their statement, "yet!" Anyway, I do hope the both of can interview Thomas Seyfried! He can be blunt, but he's definitely a brilliant man when it comes to Cancer and different approach via Cancer! Best wishes, 'look forward to viewing you again in the future. Thank you kindly for today! Leslie Southern Louisiana Cajun country! :-)

My Crohns is gone, I can breath through my nose without using Nasacort . I started drinking Kombucha tea, got rid of wheat products. Bread, pasta etc. Stopped eating refined products as well as dairy. I eat nothing processed . large organic salads, grass fed meat and eggs , drink kale shakes in the morning and eat nuts for a snacks. I can't believe how great I feel .

I have an old American book where American doctors visit mainland China when acupuncture was banned in the United States. In it is stated that in ancient China, a citizen is registered with a Chinese physician, when he or she is healthy, he or she paid the doctor because he or she is working. When he or she is ill, he or she don't have to pay the physician because he or she is not earning, and he or she is ill due to the physician not treating the patient when he or she was well. When a patient dies unnaturally, he has to hang a red lantern outside his clinic. This is an early form of National Health.

Doctors, This spoke to me. I am a former pesticide regulator and environmental policy analyst for various international agencies including the UN, EU, WB and others. In those roles, I saw the downside of using/overusing pesticides for pest control when often attempts to control a target pest, the pesticide also damaged all the other many beneficial organisms that protect our world and our collective health. I remembered this truism as a result of your joint conversation. Thank you both.

Unfortunately reality states, this information, will not continue, will not be allowed in any AMA colleges. The reason is very simple. This takes people away from pharmaceutical medicine, into things natural and I will say healthy and positive. The problem is those who control these colleges are only concerned with training blind ignorant sales people for their multi billion dollar pharmaceutical businesses. They can not patent this. Control it. Own it. Their money and themselves have majority control of board of directors. Are 100% biased and corrupt, as they will do everything to support their created status quo, no matter the harm to the human body done. Do not all pharmaceutical adds state they create about every disease under the sun? Think about that and the reasons.

But i have learned a few things as of late that were never taught and that is insulin is released every time you eat. And insulin makes you fat. So as i now fast no problem. I give the body a rest from food. If you think about it bodies are not meant to be eating all day. We needed to go get the food for half of it.... and all calories are not the same. He also talked about the fact that in a zoo the animals are fed the foods that the animals had the best affinity to. Rather than foods that did not work with that particular organism.

Any client who comes in to see healthy looking doctors like you guys has a confidence boost in your capabilities as doctors, on first sight. That you must know what to do but also follow your own advice is evident. Not easy for docs to do, for many who don't look their part. You're great examples of what you teach. That's a powerful message in itself.

Absolutely. The Bible states that the trees and fruits will your meat. Gen 1:29. And God said, "Behold, I have given you every seed-bearing grass, which is on the earth, to produce seed, and every tree, which has in itself the fruit of the seed that it has produced--it will be food for you-- Now we've strayed from that and now eat processed crap. I was diagnosed (after a muscle biopsy) with Polytiosits which is inflammation of muscle tissue, that causes muscle weakness. Falling, difficulty standing from a sitting position etc. But, upon many physical examinations, I was able to do all those things. However, I've had many falls. A few years later, I had a belly ache from H***!!. After getting to the ER and having an IV of Prevacid, the pain magically disappeared. To make a very long story short: I would only have bad falls on donut and pizza Fridays on my job. Turns out I have Celiac disease which is not exactly the same as Gluten intolerance. My brand causes neurological problems. Eg falling, twitching, jerks. Now, I've been on a strict Gluten free diet. Restaurants do not understand the issues of Celiacs as they do with seafood and peanut allergies which can cause death for some, therefore I mostly make my own food. Meat, veggies, sweet potatoes, brown rice.

This all sounds very good and I am vegan and I absolutely love this channel)))But here are some examples, how to deal with this? Steve Jobs, a fan of fruits and vegetables, passed away so early. Russian actor Savely Kramorov, who also fanatically follows the diet and ate only fruits and vegetables. Both died very early. And there are a bunch of such examples.🙂 And now, my grandmother was a huge lover of sweets, her diet consisted of 99% of rice and barley porridge with a lot of sugar, corn, potatoes, and various baked goods, she DIDN'T EAT ANY FRUIT AT ALL (as well as vegetables in principle) and lived to be 95 years old, and even 90 had a wonderful figure as in her youth. Her husband - my grandfather - ate basically the same thing as a grandmother (not surprising, she served food for him))) and he also lived to be 90, did not eat any fruits and vegetables at all.🙄 I don’t argue, I’m just wondering how can explain these examples? Just wonder.....🤷‍♀️🤔

Keeping to a strict healthy diet plan as advised is the irreducible minimum we can do as humans to live healthily, however there is always an UNSEEN HANDS , call HIM GOD, OR UNIVERSE/ NATURE/ that holds Trump cards in human's affairs. He determines departure time.e,g Healthy living can't save a man from dying accidents: plane crash, train crash, maniac shootings on Boston, as well as dying from cancer like Steve jobs despite meal regimen.

What a delightful conversation! I just love the work both of these men are doing. Speaking of the VA, many decades ago, when I was a young medical student in a rotation through the VA, I noticed some patients had very thick charts and some very thin. The one difference that jumped out was that the ones with the thin charts got regular exercise. I'm willing to bet they ate pretty healthy too. On a personal note, have always been interested in nutrition, but after a traumatic brain injury and now with cardiovascular disease I take it very seriously. I appreciate the efforts of all those working in the field of functional medicine and nutrition who have made a wealth of knowledge available. I feel healthier than in a long time, am working full time for the first time in awhile, and attribute it to eating well and using supplements judiciously.

I think it's just EVIL that the powers that be are allowing this kind of poison ☠️ to be dropped on us. Just like back in the day when they passed out free cigarettes to our servicemen. The guys were so appreciative, little did they know this very product would get them hooked and kill a great many of them. But the maker of those cigarettes knew it. They knew it from day one, but still gave them out freely and generously.😈☠️

I just don't understand why people don't see them for what they are, detrimental to our health and environment! Having had my life actually saved by Dr Stuart Berger's Immune power diet some years ago ,I absolutely get what Dr Lee is saying.Sad that Berger has been so vilified by the medical profession and his colleagues even but obviously he was a pioneer in nutritional medicine,I hope one day he will be recognized.

I love Dr. Hyman, but Dr. Li is another God sends medical specialist to save life; my father was an herbalist back in Vietnam so everything Dr. Li spoke of today is exactly what my mother tried to cook, feed, and nourish us as children; thank you Dr. Hyman for opening door to new technique, treatments, and approach toward healing our body and maintaining our health

Dr. Hyman, I would enjoy these interviews better if the guest was allowed to speak lengthily, answering short and concise questions.

This is the second interview that I have seen and I agree with you. We know that food heals disease. I wanted to hear more of what this gentleman had to say. I will look up his name and watch his TED TALK. I am not satisfied with these interviews.

What I really wanted to hear was how medications harm the body. I wish someone would do a concrete talk on that. My mom is on high blood pressure pills. She only takes half of it because she knows the damage that it does, but I wish she was off them completely. She has never had high blood pressure, in fact it was always pretty low, however, she is 90 years old and has really slowed down. I don't know if she needs to be more active to keep her heart muscle strong. She use to walk about a mile a day, but like I said she has slowed down. Now if she does this once or twice a week it is a lot. I believe that medications do more harm than good and are given when not even necessary. In fact, I always wonder if this is what is causing her to slow down. It is not natural to take them. This is the talk I'm waiting for. I found Dr. Li doing a talk. I will listen to it.

I truly wish I had access to a functional medicine doctor in my area. In the meantime, I am doing my best to educate myself and live healthier. When I go to a medical doctor for a diagnosis, I make it clear upfront my first choice and plan for healing is through natural resources... food, herbs, homeopathics, etc. The main problem, as I see it, is that the medical teaching hospitals are owned by big pharma. Big pharma is about making money, not real health solutions. When we can get medical teaching hospitals and political organizations not owned by big pharma, then this will become mainstream. That is the sad reality.

You should have a doctors convention teaching what you want the doctors to teach invite all the ones that want to learn a new way of relating to their patients and you would be the start of this for the future
