I was long overdue a trip north of the border so I found this flight, an absolute bargain I'd say, £19 from Luton up to Edinburgh. Departing Luton at 8:50 arriving in Edinburgh just after 10am. A very busy flight indeed, also due to the rail strikes across the UK on this day as well, more people opting for the flight and can you blame them..?
Departing Luton towards the west a right hand turn taking us northbound, passing Milton Keynes during our climb. After that unfortunately much of the UK was covered in grey, gloomy skies not allowing for much sightseeing at all unfortunately. Until on our descent and breaking through the cloud layers over the borders. Before flying around Edinburgh city and over the Fife Estury making our approach into EDI. A rather gusty morning in Edinburgh with gusts over 30 knots but not causing too much trouble for us.
