What size/gauge of aluminum do you use for your deck supports? How far can you span before adding down supports? Thanks

1/16" framing under the deck. I didn't need any down supports on this boat because I used wood for the decking and its a small boat. If you deck it out with aluminum sheeting then your gonna have to put supports underneath every foot or so. That all depends on how much weight you anticipate having on the deck and how thick your aluminum sheet is. In general, wood provides more strength than aluminum for decking.
