fake hair is easy to do, real hair is not this easy to control especially for smooth silky hair.

Just like any updo on straight or fine hair, just do it on day two hair, give it texture with an iron, add texturizing powder or mousse, etc.

Just an FYI for anyone struggling with this. Do not use chunky hair ties like in the video. use small little rubber band hair ties. it will be so much easier. I struggled for almost an hour trying to get this to work with big ponytail holders like she's got in the video. once I switched to the little teeny tiny plastic hair ties I got it done in the 1st try.

Still, you need to insert something inside to make that much volume. There’s no way my hair will do that

This particular style looks so easy and really elegant. So I’m excited to try and see if it’s as easy to do it as it was on the mannequins head.

I found your video. My hair sits exactly at the top of the shoulder. Perfect length for this hairstyle. I did this hairstyle for my wedding myself and absolutely love it and it's so easy and pretty to do!

Now, if someone could just stand behind me and do this hairstyle for me.

Found this a couple weeks ago. My hair just barely brushes my shoulders and my cousin was able to do it for me for my sweet 16 party. I don’t know how easy it would be to do it on yourself, but she was able to do my hair in under 10 minutes, so it’s easy enough to do on someone else.

Love your different styles! I just seen one that could work on me! Plan to try it in next couple day's !

I’m 52, can’t wait to try it. I keep my hair shoulder length for the convenience but like to do it nice sometimes.

What a wonderful video. Short and simple, clear instruction and no blah blah blah.

Finally .... I find something that is easy and beautiful!

I like this- I just did this with my topsy turvy tool- couldn't work my texture hair with my fingers alone. I'm going to practice this style for a week with different techniques like a little backcombing at the crown, dry shampoo, root lift, etc.

@@carina-nonbinary Yes- it worked okay. Super easy- but not quite as full with my texture as I would like in the back. It's a good reclining style as a bedtime or bathtime way to get your hair out of the way. I don't use as many pins as my hair is long enough to tuck and stay, but too fine to give the pouf shown in the video.

Beautiful, yes. But I can practically feel all the ends of the hair you tucked in towards the scalp, against the scalp, itching and prickling all day! Just keep that in mind fellow viewers before you do this for a special occasion. I'd say make sure you try it out first to see if you can handle the feeling!

How coarse is your hair? It would stick through your hair against your scalp? There's a full head of hair in between the ends of your hair and your scalp.

Did you actually try it? I have super coarse hair and it didn’t prickle. As you tuck the hair in, you kind of roll it, not just stick it straight in.

I was thinking the same thing. Some of us are more aware of scratchy things-like I have to cut all the tags from my shirts. Not everyone has this issue, amazingly! 😅

I’m horrible with hair and I did it first try!!! My hair is even way shorter and way less manageable because it’s so silky and slippery! It wasn’t perfect but I didn’t want to try again and do worse 🤣 I got so many compliments thank you!

Did you do it on a shampoo day or a day or 2 after? Or did you use any texturizing product/mousse? Did you need any pins? I tried it on my wife after she tried a couple times herself but the bottom part just kept slipping through. I eventually got the look using a little Oribe texturizing spray and like 4 bobby pins. Reading the comments it seems like most people couldn’t get it to work without some kind of help

It's a lot easier to do on someone else than yourself because you can't see the back of your own head. That's why she used a doll instead of doing her own hair this way.
