Works best with coarse, sun-damaged hair. If you have smooth, slick hair that's been treated regularly with conditioners, those rubber bands won't hold it more than a few minutes. Everything will slide out and fall apart.

I read a comment that said for fine hair like ours to spray it with dry shampoo or sea salt water to give it texture. I'm going to try the shampoo. Hope this helps! 💐 😊

I'm black and I usually don't watch white hair tutorials as they don't relate to me but this one got me hooked. I love how effortlessly she makes it look and the all looks are magnificent. I never watch more than a minute of hair tutorials but i watched this 10 times! Excellent video and I love the beach vibes. Trying them all! 😍🥰👩‍🦱

Why does skin colour always have to come into everything!? It's irrelevant. ALL women have hair, no matter what the skin colour. Attitudes like that just perpetuate division and hate. It's sad... and unnecessary.

@@janined5784 Black people usually have a kinky hair texture which means their hair can't do the same things that other types of hair (smooth usually) can, so the hair type matters 100%, and hair type varies based on race.

I don't live in America, but I guess I see so much on KZread where black Americans mainly, are always complaining about the perceived racism and I thought it was the same sort of comment. Very few black people where I live, in fact I only know one family, from Rwanda. Lovely quiet and gentle people.

I have that kind of hair that will NEVER do what the KZreadrs’ hair will do - it’s too fine, short, slippery, the wrong texture, etc. - EXCEPT FOR THIS ONE!!! I’ve tried a few of these so far and they actually work - thank you! Wow. This is honestly a first, for me. I really appreciate this video. 🤎

I love that you do all the hairstyles to your own hair without a mirror and with only a couple of rubber banda and a clip. Most of us with long hair don't have someone else to style our hair and we have to do it to ourselves without seeing what we are doing!

Top tip: her hair stays in those styles because of its texture (I see a lot of bleaching…). If you have smooth-textured hair, add a little sea salt spray OR dry shampoo so your hair isn’t as slippery.

They will come out even better especially the french twist which...shh...is not the correct way but easy.. i get it if u use this nethod for french twist make sure to cover the bottom( nape of the neck) all the way to the bottom or it wont look original but i do love them all too!! Good luck i suggest a leave in ethnic hair cream no burshing especially for wet hair ever or combs unless its a shampoo comb and hair is wet , also a serum the Paul mitchell super skinny not too much ...always rub into fingertips qnd work in from midstrand maybe higher to ends as to not weigh your hair down bc u will want some grit for updos...do not buy from drugstore because they arent always the real deal says it on every bottle of professional products and i do know that is true and also good luck again!!!

These are beautiful styles and I've found I can do most of them myself. Yay! As for holding... well, don't try these on freshly-washed hair unless you prep with loads of hairspray or instant shampoo spray, first! These styles work best with second- or third-day hair, which is less slippery because of built-up oils and styling product from day one. You can also use a bobby pin or a couple of spin pins to hold the tails or buns in place.

If u have fine hair add q leave in cream/ conditioner then some volumizing gel or thickening mousse to give it a grit almost....u must have the weight and grit and lift....and before that.. us a root lifter at the roots (scalp) of the hair strands or follow directions and apply to crown of the head and any thinner spots so 1. Wash with voluminous shampoo and conditioner 2. add leave in cream (weight) 3.( Lift rootsto appear thicker) apply root lifter 4. Add volumizing, lifting, thickening gel or mousse anything to get the (grit) 5. dry air or round brush dry straight down with blow dryer... depends!! Good luck!!

Play at half (or even quarter) speed and it is sooooo clear what to do. I think the one at around 5:45 - 6 mins is just perfect, simplicity set off by a nice clip to hold it in place. Love it!

Not a chance! I've always marvelled at those who can twist their hair up, put in a clip and it stays. My hair is far too thick and heavy even hairdressers refuse to put my hair up!

My daughers hair is thick like that. We get the hairdresser to thin it. With a bit of mouse, let it dry and brush it out you can have an updo to.
